Ubisoft has now addressed the revision in a blog post, saying that the PS4 version of Watch Dogs will instead run at 900p at 30fps, while the Xbox One will run the game at 792p.
Arghh why do I want to buy this on the PS4 surely I should just leech the PS3 version ..... My plan on only buying PS4 exclusives is in danger of dying, my PS4 is just a paper weight at the moment, and I think the next PS4 exclusive is the new Batman game which isn't until October
If money is no issue, I dont understand why anyone would choose a PS3 version of a game over the PS4 version. Look at the difference between Assassin's Creed: Black Flag on PS3 and on PS4 and it clearly is a no brainer. That was also another Ubisoft game
Maybe that was a bad example as Watchdogs isnt going to be 1080p on PS4. Maybe the PS3/PS4 versions of Thief is a better example? lol.
Having said that Assassins Creed: Black Flag was initially 900p on PS4 as is Watch Dogs apparently. Maybe Ubisoft will release a patch to update it to 1080p on PS4 as they did with Assassin's Creed: Black Flag.
Anyone want to share their thoughts on 360 vs One AC4? Debating whether to play it on my jtag or buy it for the other. Been really let down and kind of sick of the soap opera drama they've introduced.
but on this crappy connection I have at work I can't tell a difference. They both look like shit. PC is also an option... maybe I should play that version instead?
What about Watchdogs - are the next gen graphics worth playing it there or is there not much difference between the two generations?
I forgot I could tether my cell, so I did and have watched a few AC4 video comparisons. I don't see a very big difference, not to my eyes anyway. I do see some, but nothing major. The XBone and PC versions look about the same too but then again I couldn't find out in the review if the PC settings were maxed. I assumed they were. I think I'll just play it on the 360.
Doesn't seem to matter what I read about Watch Dog comparisons. You just get the same thing over and over - newer hardware will offer a better experience but the core gameplay is the same. Duhhh - kinda figured that was to be expected.

i'm not a graphics whore either, but i expected ubi to deliver the same rock-solid 1080p@30fps like with AC4. it was a beautiful game and never dropped a frame.
what are they going to do with AC:Unity then? 720p on PS4 and 500 on XB1?

Exactly. It's the PS4 one. Not impressed at all by the graphics. Washed out night lighting, too much motion blur, mediocre textures, bad (or not at all) reflections. That's all from this small video sample.
