Says that the levels above 32 hasn't been properly tested/developed nearly as much as the earlier game content. I'll paste it here since I thought it was a good critique even though I enjoyed what I played of the game up to level 10.

I was in the Wildstar beta for almost a year. I won't be buying it. After a couple of months I stopped logging into the game other than once in awhile to check out changes. The game is well built, but horribly optomized. The combat can be kind of cool, certainly better than the crapfest that is ESO. The animation is great, again much better than ESO. That being said I just could not stomach the game. The pace of leveling is slow, which honestly I have been longing for. The 1 to max in a few days or week, I'm over that style of play. I'd like more meaty original eq level speed as a throwback. That being said this game was so damn monotonous when it came to quests I couldn't even force myself to log in. The quests were simply the most boring drivel I have ever seen in a game. Granted you could mix in dungeons, adventures, and pvp to help break up the monotony. Every level, due to the miniscule amount of xp awarded thanks to the slow leveling speed, required a metric ton of quests. In my entire time in that game, I can remember exactly 2 quests. I won't sit here and trumpet SWTOR or ESO because both games suck, but their questing system was good. The quests had stories and meaning. There was a quality over quantity approach. In Wildstar there is no quality when it comes to quests, its truckloads of quantity though.

The scariest thing however is the fact that the endgame, which they trumpet so loudly as being their focal point, is going to be a colossal mess. They sent 5+ years, or whatever, building and testing the game from 1-30ish. Then they do a huge patch in the winter beta and announce the end of the winter beta, 1 week after that patch. This patch raised the level cap from 32 to max. However all those great raids, and end game content they trumpet, the warplots, all of it only got a weeks worth of testing in beta and these few beta weekends. They gave at least a years worth of closed beta testing 1-32, and no doubt that content is pretty polished, and a whopping 1 week and 8 days worth of weekend tests for everything 33+. The devs posted on the forums how dismayed they were at this decision, or 'compromise' they labeled it, that they were forced to make with the financial people.

So aside from the soul crushing quest grind in the game, endgame the place where almost everyone is gonna spend the majority of their time , is going to be horribly balanced and tested because its being rushed out the door just like ESO. We see how well thats turning out right?

Wow, that sure is bad news.

But i already preordered and very likely will still enjoy it

I find it pretty damn weird and uncharacteristic if the devs stated on the forums how disappointed they were about the game being rushed out the door in an unfinished state, and take chances in creating a ripple effect where it can get media attention and people hold of purchases. Usually in such situations there's just a bunch of lies and confirmations about it being thoroughly tested, if not as closed or open beta, then in house.

played for an hour maybe.
looks like a decent game but it's a cookie cutter mmorpg. I liked the dynamic fighting though.
The starting locations are annoying and cluttered and chaotic as fuck.

it's good for people who aren't sick of wow-ish mmorpgs. I am.

It's the same generic shit we've seen a thousand times before, not even done better or anything, just the same.

Combat is just typical mmo combat sped up to ADD speeds. If FFXIV is slow motion wow, this is wow in fast forward. I just don't know who this game is for, when we've seen basically the exact same thing be tried and fail countless times.

Honestly save money and go play TOR or Rift for free and get it out of your system

Opps, no boob slider, I was thinking of ESO. I filed them both under "wait until it is FTP" category, then they all start to blur together. Wildstar has preset body sizes that the devs think you may like. One of the options usually has overly large breasts though!

the dreaded f2p mention Smile

I am still on the fence about wildstar, I have been playing it more recently and it has been improved in the performance area a little more now, I found turning off 2 of my cores helped a ton for some reason in the affinity part of the exe in task manager.

I was enjoying my Chua Esper quite a bit, although hard for me to get used to those stationary telegraphs but seems to work with others where you dont have to be still quite well also.

Stalker was fun also playing this beta seems like the go to bad ass class if you ask me.

but still on that fence, really really playing it careful with this one Very Happy, but the rocket house wont be around forever... apparently Very Happy

Lol, I will not buy this game unless they address the issues with frame rate stability.

30-50 fps is not acceptable in different viewing positions let alone being strange culling where looking at a wall gives lower frames then looking out to dense graphical areas.

they say they ARE using all cores, my six cores are all in use and total cpu combined does not go over 22%, there are they do say still improvements to follow and again most noticeably I have read the usual old INTEL tweaked, AMD not tweaked scenarios followed by we have not got onto anything with ATI card manufacturer yet but will get things done soon as we get conversations with them. Basically they are not pushing enough to get it sorted or ATI as usual ignoring devs lol Very Happy

I can play the game fine really but its times like when doing the maw maw dino boss for instance that things seem to slow up, its close to the same issues gw2 had with many peeps online and threads not being handles correctly I think.

meh, annoying cause I do actually like what it has to offer.

I was able to achieve that in an old beta weekend, and I heard they optimised it a little

So maybe i'll get 35fps!!

"Appears to be DDOS attack - under investigation/working on doing network ninjitsu to cure.
Sorry for interruption working on it!
This is real time info, so may change.
Edit: 00:45 PDT I've heard from a few folks it's a confirmed DDOS attack (real time updates, may change, fog of war, etc.). Partially handled. Servers taking in some players now, player counts rising. Ninjitsu continues."

Okay
