Tried to modify savegame header from VH2 beta to be compatible with release but the game just crashes with it >_>

They released a patch because it seems that I can import my character from VH1.
That means, I can play it!
And btw, is it true that dlc items don't get unlocked until you hit level 30?

I started at level 30 since I played the first episode and might as well see the new higher level content so I'm not sure, seems strange if it's locked like that but on the other hand those helmets (Which I'm sure is not at all inspired or named after the Aliens and Predator universe, heh well it's named differently to avoid legal problems I assume.) and the set armor might have 30 as the min level requirement, pets and such should work however.

Are you guys ridiculing it because you actually encountered serious bugs, or just because of the updates?

Both?
There were 3 updates within first 30 minutes when it was released.
I will give it a proper try later today because they only fixed importing characters from VH1 not too long ago.

Its quite nice, but MP is buggy as hell. I cant see most of my spells when my friend hosts the game, and you have to wait for the host to go through the portal into a new zone , otherwise you get a blackscreen.

Another patch.
That is third one today? Or it's fourth one already?

I wonder how they have time to properly test 3-4 updates in one day?!

Are all these updates CRITICAL or is it just a case of Neocore changing/tweaking/fixing "something" and then pushing the patch straight away rather than waiting for a megapatch each week/month/etc? I played through VH1 at launch and had very little issues to speak of.

I also played VH1 vanilla, zero problems. So the comments here got me confused.

Lots of smaller bugfixes and hotfixes to issues introduced with said bugfix.
Instead of doing ten or so larger patches over a year or whatever they hotfix issues as they are discovered so the game gets like 10+ patches in a week.
EDIT: I played a bit of VH2 and had no major issues but I did notice several glitches such as the bestiary linking to a temporary description so I suspect it's the same here, as soon as a bug is discovered it's hotfixed and a update is posted and then if needed fixes for that update are released.
Oh and yeah balance changes and other tweaks as well, plus DLC support and then tweaks, fixes and hotfixes for said DLC.

It should slow down within a week or so yes, gradually transitioning to larger patches though going by Van H 1 we'll probably still see hotfixes released every so often.
Plus of course once they start adding new content or other features there will probably be some more frequent updates again for issues discovered with those.
NeoCore seems pretty dedicated but maybe not the most structured or how to say, I am however glad that they are quickly fixing bugs and other problems though some further testing wouldn't hurt to minimize the need for hotfixes.
I also haven't checked their own forums lately so it's possible there's something more with these updates but I am pretty certain that it's mostly quicker fixes for issues as they are discovered (Like the save import glitch.) and then further fixes should the patch mess with anything else.

I just wanted to say that I didn't had any issues with the game at all, had some fps drops here and there but it was nothing major. Not a single crash either. Not sure what's the fuss all about. They fixed the important character the next day and I was able to play it just fine.
Anyway, game felt quite shorter. But they improved it in a good way. I didn't had to do that annoying defend your lair crap and you can send your comrades to do them.
They added some new weapon types as well, only played with Thaumaturge.
I will try Scenarios tomorrow maybe, they look improved as you can pick the difficulty and make them total random.
I have also missed quite a few "hidden" quests/events.
Chapter 1 - 14 out of 24 I think
Chapter 2 - 4 out of 14 I think
Chapter 3 - 4 out of 14 I think
And I was certain that I got them all, since I went to pretty much every door and explored all the maps 100%, well at least I think that I did. Didn't realized would have missed that much. :\
And I'm not sure what's the point of Chimera? You kinda get it really late into the game. Should have probably be available right away.
Probably will buy 3rd one as well.
