Just had about an hour to play, all I can say is ; wow...

Blew all my expectations out of the water, and runs/looks great on my(aging) 560gtx ti.

Aside from the m/kb controls not feeling too nice(was planning to play this with a pad anyways) and crappy car damage compared to gta ( =P) that was a great first impression it made on me

RTX ON

Not sure what's up and if it was mentionned on the previous pages but....i crash immediately after the intro. I see the small car crash animation , the 11 months later then Watch Dogs logo and bang the PC freeze or i get BSOD and my PC reboot....

Not sure what the fuck is....

Using Steam006 version. Now it doesn't even want to load past the menus....i hit continue or new game and then i BSOD when it's loading Embarassed

I' suspecting UPlay or GPU drivers to be the cause but.....

PLayed it for a bit and performance is terrible... + stuttering all over the place. Once I somehow locked into 30 with everything at ultra, it was still stuttering.
I need to try again with textures on high and not ultra... and aliasing is somewhat bad. temporal smaa not doing too much

but that water Awesome
tesselated, displacing water So Much Win

as for now I think Sleepy Dogs look better and have better rain. Except water which is amazong in wd

Ehh I was hoping I can lock it to 30 and play like this but even when everything is on lowest possible it still has this freezes stuttering when game stops for 1-2 seconds, maybe its cause of having "only" 4gb of ram ? When you guys say stuttering do you also get this 1-2 seconds freezes like loading new area or something I dont know but it happens really often.

I just know my 780 will run this without sweating, asking for more settings to try and tax it, and the game will fail to bring down the pc master race card of the century, still, I ain't puttin no 'ushit' on my system to test it, so will wait for proper, hell, only a week Wink

Bah fuck this....the steam006 just keep on crashing on me. This is the first time in a loooooooooooooooooooooogggg time i can't run a game. It's a blue screen of death festival....

Tried a few things but still doesn't work (reinstalled UPlay , tried offline , tried to not update Uplay etc) and....no go. It's probably a driver/release/windows 8.1 compatibility issue issue but fuck....i'm not gonna troubleshoot this and just wait for a scene release. My specs if anyone is interested...

- I5 2500K
- Radeon 6950 2gb
- 8 gb of ram
- Xi-Fi Titanium
- Windows 8.1 x64 fully updated

You can use various tools but the most common one would be RivaTuner (it's built into Afterburner if you already have it) - just add the game executable to the list in Riva and then set a framerate limit of 30. Or you could set a hard profile in nVidiaInspector but meh.

So I've played for a bit and as someone who was extremely excited for the game, I have to say, I am glad I did not preorder it. Performance is iffy on a 290x, way too much info being thrown at you at any given time and the driving mechanics are some of the worst I've experienced.

God, stealth in Ubisoft games that aren't Splinter Cell is always so fucking stupid.

It does? I thought "vsync 2" was basically the same as double-buffering, in that the framerate dropped by stages from 60>45>30. "vsync 1" allows sub-60 framerates without locking.

For me v-sync 2 locked it to 30 nonstop, while 1 let it go to 60 at times, playing without it tho so i can run it floating between ~30-60 Sad

When your Game stutters, turn down the Textures to middle and you can use everything on Ultra. My GFX uses around 1.8GB and stutter is gone.

I have a I5 3210M 2.50GHz,6GB RAM and AMD Radeon HD 7670M 2GB Hybrid.I run in 720p all low settings and i got between 30 FPS and 40 FPS and when im running outside i get 25 FPS.
I think its not well optimized but for my GPU its good getting those FPS and running the game.
