Hey guys, quick question..

When I continue my game, it loads outside my hideout the first time you come out & get that phone call from that woman etc...

So I go do some random stuff, few contract missions..try different cars on...

I have not even went to the first campaign mission yet...

My question is, how often does it auto-save ? ..Because when I reload the game...it brings me back outside my hideout & get the phone call again..I mean it dosint seem to save all the side shit I did in my previous play through..Any ideas ?

Im using first uplay version that came out in offline mode with the gamelauncher..

Thnx

Well, after a total of five hours played, I am pretty much bored.

- Storytelling is crap, I don't care for the character in any way. Really, it's done by a couple of amateur storywriters. I'm not going to claim the AC games for example have great stories, but the story-telling itself is always top tier. Here though, it's bleh after bleh.
- Graphics are a mix of good and really bad, nothing next-gen I can see here.
- Shooting mechanics are OKish, it works reasonably well. If you want to enjoy the game though, you won't be shooting much.
- Driving is just wrong, toy cars. Sleeping dogs, which was arcade, is much better IMO.
- Hacking is a joke, what more can be said. "Hold X to hack", that's it.
- Mouse controls are bad, I use my Xbox gamepad.
- Side missions are extremely repetitive. In GTA I am also doing the same thing over and over again, but atleast Rockstar tries to package it with great presentation. The intruder thingies are great though.

This is probably the worst AAA Ubisoft game I have played, the AC games and Far Cry 3 are in a completely different league. As for GTA, this game is not a poor man's GTA5, it's a broke man's GTA4 (unmodded that is). I'll probably finish the main story missions since I like such open world games.

Use the latest noUplay crack, I didn't see any fps boost but it did fix the stuttering problems when using ultra textures.

Me too, Brotherhood was the last AC I enjoyed. Watch Dogs is actually pretty good. Especially how much I hated Saints Row 3 & 4, I'm glad I have another GTA like game to play.

Ok good, russ80. I'm just happy to see others share my opinion and not get flamed for doing it compared to what I've experienced.

I forgot Ubisoft claimed you were going to type millions of commands in real-time to hack stuff, sorry!

Seriously, do people who write "you just press Q to hack stuff" watched even one gameplay video? It was never supposed to be a hacking simulator, it's an open world game with a hacking gimmick, and that's all it was ever supposed to be. And it is great at that, I haven't touched the story but for me driving is a lot better than in Sleeping Dogs or Shits Row.

And I bet DSPHIL will still get lost with the hacking

If he played like a normal person nobody would watch his videos, and he's fully aware of that fact. Way to randomly talk negatively about a YouTuber and fellow comrade in gaming though. Stay classy.

So a game mechanic being shit is OK if it was supposed to be shit anyway? No, I didn't expect a simulator. I completely disagree about the driving being better than SD, but that's a matter of preference I guess.

Is there a way to reset "pursued" status without reloading save if there are no enemies pursuing you? I've just dealt with the convoy taking down the guy and killing everyone else and it seems the game bugged

Probably still too early to say as I haven't progressed through main and secondary missions, just free roaming and testing shit, but so far it's like a 8.5/10, a competent GTA clone but still not as good as the king.

The funny thing is, I haven't seen one single person say they've actually gotten a virus or anything from any of the (main) releases OTHER than that guy who uploaded the screenshot of 4chan.

I'm starting to think that the one guy who uploaded that screenshot did it just for shits and giggles to try and dissuade people from pirating the game... or to just laugh at people thinking these releases have viruses in them.

Tried the game a bit.

For me, it's just another console port that runs like shit, plays like shit (one-button-win for almost everything + mouse/kb control is abysmal) and looks like an average game from 2012.

Sry for being so blunt, but personally I can't accept anymore shit like this being thrown into the PC market and being called a "hit" or even a "good game". Probably it could have been a success IF it would have been released only on PC.

Ubi can take this franchise, pack it with Assassin's Duty and stick to the console market. They got my money up til AC:Brotherhood. From there, it went all downhill.

I'd rate it 7/10, but it's too early. Enjoyable, but very forgetable.

Is my mind playing tricks on me or do the vids in the skill trees look much better graphically than ingame? Maybe it's the small screen.

Runs great here. Everything on Ultra except shadows is on High. Using the new 3DM 20a crack. Ran pretty crappy before that.

Well, after reading what people have to say about the game I'm going to wait til everything is complete (drivers and a patch perhaps) before I play it. Cause this doesn't seem to be all that great.

Yeah, performance wise the best thing to do is to wait for official relase, day-1 patch and new drivers.

That's a crack by 3DM by the way, not a patch 2.0 for the game. Very Happy (There should be a 1.01 update though.)
(Or well it's for the game but it's not a patch, ehh I'm getting confused again. )

EDIT: Did another story mission, going to have to start over when it's released and I get the key but might as well progress a bit further to see how the game is.

Just a batch of screens.

Man those screens look quite nice.
I still haven't tried the game yet ..

And finished, took me about 18-20 hours.. (pure story missions ofc)
Story was ok, but nothing to remember it by.. overall an enjoyable game, but once again, nothing special.
