Preorders are only smart if you absolutely want a collector's edition before they sell out. Why would you pre-order unless the price is going to increase after release (which is rarely the case)?
I mean, I pre-ordered Diablo III with Amazon for £19. (note: the price on release was £35). Amazon CANCELLED the pre-order when it was announced that the price would be higher upon release so I pre-ordered again at £25. Then it was announced that the price would be £40 RRP and they cancelled AGAIN. That's the minute I said "fuck pre-orders". If the price is lower before release, they're just going to screw you over anyway.

AFAIK Amazon never cancels your preorders, I heard multiple stories of a guy getting it for dirt cheap because he preordered it in 2003 or so.

Firstly, TotalDerp called Aliens Colonial Marines a AAA title. Sorry, but it has NEVER been a AAA title. Secondly, if you are into gaming (like you really know your stuff) you would realise that Gearbox's track record isn't exactly fantastic. Yeah they make great games but they're also known for putting out some stellar bullshit too. My point is, is that if you know your stuff, you know what to pre-order and what companies you can trust (not that there are many left though).
If you like something and know the developer/publisher well enough then why shouldn't you pre order something? Just because one person thinks a game is awful doesn't mean that you will think that. There is always a game that you will like and thousands won't.
As for TotalDerp, I will never ever understand why he has so many people watching him. I'm english and his accent still rubs me up the wrong way alongside the fact that he always puts his foot in it when "knowing" things about gaming.

Opnions are great , they're all like assholes everyone has them but seriously this guy and his running commentary on every little detail in every video its just annoying I can't bear to watch more than 5 minutes.

Then don't watch, nobody forces you to. I on the other hand find pretty much all his videos really enjoyable. I always get the impression that some people hate him just for the sake of hating, giving the most stupid reasons for doing so. Whatever floats your boat/s, people...

I used to love tb a while back, but lately it just seems he keeps repeating himself over and over, most of his vids he could do in <10 mins. Im still subbed and an episode now and again, but I tend to skip the WTFis's these days

An AAA game is not necessarily a good game but it has a certain polish due to its budget. ACM doesn't.

The Aliens franchise might be a AAA movie franchise (and thats debatable) but in the gaming world it is not. Usually a AAA title is one that is from a well known developer who always puts out content that is polished to death and has had a huge budget spent on it. I think you will find that this game clearly isn't polished, not even in a finished state. Gearbox's track record shows that they're not a developer that constantly puts out great AAA titles that are polished. Go look at their history Sin, think you will find that in the catalogue of games that they have had their hand in developing, it's pretty much a split of quality titles and utter shit. ACM is just another one to throw onto the shit pile.

I personally hope that most people in the youtube comments or twitch chats get cancer too. Because that's what they are to me.
Looking at them, what they're spouting and their behaviour surely gives me cancer. That includes these so called fans. So if he insulted the kind I think he did, good, well done.
