whats this freezing everyone seem to have? only thing i have is fps drop to around 35 when driving at maximum speed in the city, but thats not stuttering, running ultra on r9 290
nvm, youtubedit
horrible indeed, have any of you attempted to change framebufer to higher one or lower one depending on your card? I am using maximum one

I never had any stutter issues, either. I get drops to 45 when a bunch of cars pile up but nothing like freezing/stuttering on a remotely regular basis. Sometimes if I'm speeding through the intersection and pan the camera quickly to the side, I might get a split second delay but nothing that affects gameplay.
Running all high, temporal smaa, 1920x1080, on a 680GTX and i5 2500K @ 4.5. When I'm on foot, the game stays in the 50's.

That reminds me of how Saints Row 2 ran on my old pc, although SR2 stuttered much more often.
You've been eating dirt because you think it tastes good.
Big difference.

I never thought I'd have to resort to this but I'll give it a shot, thanks!
all of sudden everyone is taking my way out ?
It's the only way to play this game if you're sensitive to constant framerate fluctuations

I too am limiting the framerate to 30fps (it was the only way really), and surprisingly I can use High textures without problems as long as I keep the shadows on medium (the rest is on high). It's far from ideal, but playable...if only mouse controls weren't so broken
Hmmm, so your card is handling "High" textures okay then? No constant flushing or framerate issues? Medium textures are so goddamn ugly
@Claptonvaughn: Haha There's even motion blur, what could we ask more for!

Yep, it handles them surprisingly well despite the limited amount of VRAM, but I have to keep the shadows on medium, otherwise the framerate starts going crazy, with random drops and the rest. Same thing happens if I set other settings on Ultra. It seems like the card is always on the edge, can't push it too far or it starts hyperventilating.
I'm less worried about the video on this game than the sound. At first I thought it was a dodgy crack but but I have been sent a coupla NV promo codes and I whacked in a legit install yesterday only to discover it is still impossible to hear what anyone is saying I can't be fff'd reading subs all the way through - talk about breaking immersion.
Has anyone else had this issue & found a fix?
Supposedly this only affects 7.1 systems, so setting to 5.1 or Stereo should fix it. I can say that it hasn't happened to me yet, I hear all the voices just fine.
@ixigia
Bah.. I just tried it and sadly putting textures on "high" just brings back the nasty stuttering and hitching.
20 hours in, the multiplayer is fucking awesome in this. Got invaded a couple of times, but found them every time (usually they were just running around instead of acting stealthy ).
To be honest Online Tailing is even better than Online Hacking, since you actually never know that you're being tailed, nothing appears on your screen until it's over AFAIK.
Using the blackout ability while a guy is trying to line up the cameras for the QR codes- priceless And then the manic running around afterwards, trying to profile everyone
Nice So, is it confirmed that when you experience a blackout while free roaming or doing a fixer contract, it is always caused by another human player invading your game? It's happened to me like 3 times and it happened always while being chased by 5 cars during a fixer mission

Thanks anyway but I did try that in windows already my system is 5.1 and a switched the w7 audio config to stereo but there was no difference. I'm gonna try using the hdmi sound next to see if that makes a diff.
whats this freezing everyone seem to have?
horrible indeed
Thanks for the vid, doesn't seem nice at all. Quess it's not affecting me as my only swap is 100megs and on SSD, looking at the fix. Downside with this game is I need RAM on Afterburner OSD so I don't run out (well already had it because of BF4 memory leaks )
Now if RAM was still cheap, I'd hit another 8gigs in, but as this is the only game that would slightly benefit from it, not bothering. (no my Skyrim is still not modded)
No invaders on my game Well been playing on funny times and little.
Anything sporty is like riding an ADHD kid and trucks have nice weight to them and turning is relaxed and very nice feeling on keyboard. Doubt that can be used to lose cops, but as a daily driver it's great.
Still don't have enough money to buy it, but the free truck was also good. That was the vehicle given to me when I last started the game middle of forest in some new hideout.

Shortcut also worked great, would have been nice to land on top of that flatbed though..
So, I was all pumped up cause I was going to play my first round of Texas Holdem', I open the map and pick the nearest game. Mad Mile district, fancy dressed guys playing hands outdoors on a terrace. I get ready to take the avaliable seat....
"You need $100,000" NOPE!
So yeah, there you got a good reason to make money in the game (unless you hate poker, but why would you!???)
EDIT:
So after being rejected at the rich boys game I decided to take it to the other end of the bank account spectrum and went straight to the car mechanic shop game in poor Soutch Chicago looking to play with some "brothers". I'm very happy, "this time I'll be able to play my favorite card game!" I think, I'm only 2 meters away from the chair intended for me and suddenly... some random fucker NPC starts a shooting in the shop nextdoor (red dot appears on my mini-map of course so i give him chase), and everybody at the poker table leaves the place screaming No gaem for you!
So I was running and driving around city..messing around, and suddenly Blackout! I didn't do it...and I wasn't being invaded (isodemo )
Random blackouts?
-Nice story, though it could be a bit better
-Jordi!
-Some hackings are nice, but the most helpeful and needed are the street ones
-Aiden's a bit of an emo but has it's tricks
-THE BAD
-Constant random CRASHES on the PC version
-Long and boring street chases..with some possible bugs (Chase a car, close a wall-door thing with your hacking...when the door's about to get closed, IT OPENS AGAIN FOR THE ENEMY CAR,Making the pursuit continue)
-Could have a better ending
-The "final action" at the epilogue after the credits. Could've been better.
-Some Hideout unlocks are really hard or unguessable to do (See the top island's red spots in the map)

Now I wanna play too But I think I had like 3500$ before I bought the M416, so doubt even murder district shall take me. Oh well can do story mission and some random stuff. If not anything else, hacking Far Cry 3 towers
The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.
