I throw in a few swear words.

5-star 5-0... how original. on a 4-star it was 4-0 and 3-star 3-0 and so on and so forth.
Why don't you try to pretend you at least played the game on a 5-star setting.

I voted for PES for obvious reasons. Loved it since ISS on the snes. Initially I wasn't keen when it dropped the flair aspect & branched off to PES but once I got to grips with it, boy I was hooked. PES1 was the kind of game where you could play a 30 minute game with a mate, scrape a 1-0 victory and be pleased as punch. It was great for strategists as tactics were immensly important. This made it possible to beat someone (even a good player) who was France with say Ireland with a one chance counter-attack goal and a sturdy 5 in defense Very Happy . PES has since developed into an even more in-depth game and has maintained the majority of factors that made it great to play.

As for FIFA, well I have nothing against it. '98 was a great game. 2005 wasn't bad either but I rarely played it as I only play FIFA if I'm round someone's who only owns FIFA and not PES (not many ppl I know). It was fun to play but what you see on the surface is all that there is.

I was one of those guys who in the beginning (when pes3 came out), that fifa was the one and only game forever.
I saw PES3 twice , but i was still sure that Fifa is better ..

After playing several times in PES my opinion "got shock" - PES is much more impressive,
interesting, enjoyable then fifa.
There is no point to start comparing between this two games..
give PES chance, you will not regret it - and the fact that 1 year after the game relesed
(PES4) - the game is still enjoyable - it's say everything.

If Konami wants to take control about the soccer games she need in PES6 - to build the game in more profession way (menus, licenses,organized leagues) - and then even the
the loyal fans of fifa will pass to PES ...

EA have to changed some things - THE FRIST STEP is to upgrade the graphics.. it's impossible to stay with the same PC Requirements from 1996..
