(Robotic enemies in particular but also others like those dogs and the Ubersoldaten.)

Of course later on in the game armored vests (+50) and metal armored vests (+100) armor become more common.

I even found one of those vests in the plane at the start of the game in a hidden compartment down in the cargo hold, wonder what else I might have missed.

thanks
by now i found i asked that question prematurely
playing on Über so i was concerned i will need to scavenge as much armor as i can find, but actually it seems its not as scarce as i thought/hoped Crying or Very sad

love the game but i hate the fact that im constantly at high armor/health/ammo... makes it pretty easy even on Über since i can spam my weapons and pick some health packs to get out of almost any situation.

oh how i wish there would be another difficulty, same as Über only much less resources lying around and popping out of enemies Razz

In my opinion the only downside to Wolf2009 is the Batman Disease®, where you're pretty much forced to play in "Detective Mode" (or, in the case of Wolf, "The Veil") or else miss lots of gameplay elements. The over reliance on Detective Mode or Veil Walking ruins both games Sad

The thing that really bothers me is how they pronounce his name.

Blazkowicz ≠ Blaskowitz.

Blazkowicz = Blaskowich, Blasko-which etc.

They pronounce Polish names wrong in 99% of games Laughing

How's the actual Polish besides that though?

I'm quite digging the German parts. Most of it is ridiculously well done, unlike in most games (pretty sure the native speakers will agree with me Very Happy). The distinctive Austrian accent exhibited by Bubi (the obviously closeted "companion" of Frau Engel) caught me off guard though, didn't expect that one next to her Hochdeutsch Very Happy

No, this is the most correct pronounciation! - https://translate.google.bg/?hl=en&tab=wT#pl/en/Blazkowicz

well to put it in simplest terms, the polish "z" following another consonant is basically the english "h", going by the pronounciation.

so cz = ch, sz = sh etc.

And W is pronounced like a V, right? So I'm not entirely sure what Neon is on about in regards to Wolfenstein -- most every character I heard say his name said "Blazkovich", which is right... no? Scratch Head

Janz wrote:

Yes worth replaying but not immediately, there's VERY little differences in timeline.. just a few doors/rooms that are different and supposedly a couple of characters aren't present in one timeline. Play it a few months down the line when your memories have faded a little Smile

Actually, we have a "Ł" letter that sounds kind of like "w" in English.
For instance: you pronunciate "łuk" (a bow) as "wook" Razz

OK, but why is it Fau Wee and not Fau Vee Smile

Even in full, Volkswagen really sounds as Volkswagen and not Volksvagen.

Have I been pronouncing it wrong all those years ? Or does it depend on the word ?

I know it as Fau-Ve and Folks-Vagen

But like Werelds said some parts in germany might pronounce it differently, depending on dialect and what not.

Finished this today. Damn, that was a really fun shooter. Pretty much all you can expect from a FPS.. minor complaint would be that the AI is not that great.
The shooting felt really nice in this and that kinda makes me wish it had a multiplayer part. Very Happy If done right it could have been good. But then again, it could have taken them too much time to polish everything. Sad
I don't think MachineGames is working on Doom 4, though? They should be.
