Looking at the forums, everyone was saying Taskmaster is pretty good so that's why I was thinking of maybe getting him as a sure thing. I have bad luck with the random hero boxes, I have already got 2 dupes and only have 4 heroes. I wish I started playing after they changed the starter characters as 2 of my 4 are from the original starters being Scarlet Witch and then I was given Daredevil when I finished the tutorial. Loki and Ghost Rider were from hero boxes and my dupes are Ghost Rider and Scarlet Witch.

I just got Doctor Strange with that Massively code so at least it's something new. So I am 2 for 6 now on the hero code giveaways this week. It would have been nice to have got all so far as I would like to have had the chance to have got the Punisher to use with the free skin they gave out.

Someone gave me a code from the Massively giveaway a few days back and I got Black Panther. So at least out of my 6 characters now Ghost Rider and Black Panther are two I liked from the comics.

Just discovered one of the worse run sites that Gazillion for some reason decided to give random hero box keys for a giveaway to. It was gameogre.com, they told people to register for their forum and they would PM you a code if you responded in the giveaway topic then after almost 2 hours of having people do that they changed the giveaway rules because it was too hard so they did a random key generator so all those that entered missed it. I was post 60 in the forums and didn't find out about the change till an hour after he did it since there was no email or anything sent so I didn't get my key.
From his own live chat on the site he wrote "Definitely, could not have Pmed codes to well over 600 people and counting in the thread when we only had 500 lol."
What a sketchy site for them to give codes to.

you can try the forums, people that start feeling guilty for taking more than one code also feel stupid because they cant use those codes, so there are some that pass them on to others

There's probably some guides over at their forums, I haven't read any of'em tho but here's what I do with my loot:
I mostly collect uniques to exchange into credits, and then only when I have 6 or more of a single unique (keep the best one ofc)
Regarding artifacts, I consider their value in TTK and TTL, as in: does this increase my time to kill/live more than other artifacts (useful stats, are those stats on my mains too deep into diminishing-returns territory, will it be better on one of my unlevelled ones, etc). No real answer there mate, every hero have different stats and 'squishiness' and only you know yours 
As for medals, I'd keep/use most cosmic ones (except Mandarin's, his is just plain aweful ^_^). On AoE heroes I prefer Doc Ock's, melee usually gets Jugglenaut's or Kurse's.
