We had PreAir of GoT once, there were unfinished sfx in it and usually those "insiders" show a significant lack of encoding skills. For better or worse, gotta wait for the real thing to air then.
I'd like to see some script leaks though (Season 5 should already be completely written as of June 1) or more info about casting. I'm curious where they go with the storylines of Books 4+5 and what will be pruned away. We already know the Dorne thing from the casting call leak, where will they go with the Kingsmoot etc. QM and JonCon, if they even appear, and what they'll invent for Sansa (may be we already see the controversial Sansa chapter that Martin moved to TWoW)

Next episode will be full of awesome _____. Wonder how they'll fit everything into 50 mins, we'll see.
Episode was decent to good, lots of fighting but not much happening. (relevant stuff that is)

Hundred thousand men against one hundred, and they give up after barely trying and sending what looks like less than 1% of the army against the Watch? One angry giant lifts the gate - and yet no one is there to join him - so he decides to enter alone and close the gate behind him? Ok, he's probably not smart - but a complete and utter moron?
Just about the least convincing battle scene I can think of, and they've clearly spent most of their money on it.
I think they need to understand the limits of their budget and give up these battles altogether.
Oh well, to each his own.
This series is at its best when it's doing drama and dialogue, in my opinion.
Then again, I despise the whole "Wall" segment of this show - and I find all the characters involved with it dull and one-sided. Jon Snow is probably the least interesting character in the entire story, and they decide to dedicate an entire episode to him and an amateur-hour battle.
The last episode with the Viper felt like it was from a different show altogether. One where you cared about the characters and what happens to them.

excellent episode, great tracking shot ~39minutes in, archer giants, the scythe - good stuff
I noticed they killed off some characters that survived in the books, that was pretty unexpected -
Spoiler: | Grenn and Pyp are still alive in the Books |
There is a lot to cram into the 66 minutes of 4x10 if they want to finish where Book 3 ended.
(minor spoiler)
Spoiler: |
Especially events in Kings Landing, Arya and like a huge chunk of the Wall (some of the best is yet to come). How will they finish off Bran's story for the season? Then also the LS reveal has to be in there, and some scenes to show where the other characters are at. This is gonna be a tight fit. No place for filler scenes, one hour of pure GoT goodness.

There's no point in defending the battle's logic. I mean, c'mon - Mance was able to send a scout squad over, and that squad ALONE nearly conquered the entire fortress. So why send only one? What exactly was stopping him from using three, four, five, hell - ten times those troop numbers? Snow and his happy campers would be wiped out without any problems and Castle Black would be no more. And all of that before we even get to giants and wargs - both of them a tremendous advantage, practically unused in the battle (no, two giants and one warg scout at the very beginning don't count).
From a technical standpoint, however, the battle was really nicely done. They captured the scale WAY better this time around. And it was mightily fun to watch. I have nothing against an action-oriented episode every once in a while, esspecially when it's so well executed.

I liked the episode but I feel pretty much the same way as Toni. Making an entire episode set in one scene/region really isn't that interesting. The constant change in that is one of the reasons I like the show so much to be honest.

Question about the giants, how many are there and why are they afraid of the white walkers with giants around, can't they simply crush them?

"Giants were at one time more plentiful, but they were hunted by men and driven from their stone halls. By the time Mance Rayder became King-Beyond-the-Wall, there were only several hundred remaining."
They could probably crush some Wights and Others but they are "limited" in their mental capacity and superstitious, probably shit their giant breeches whenever the cold approaches and refuse to fight.
Who knows what happens if you try to crush an Other, maybe you freeze or get transformed into a wight, according to Martin they can only be killed with Dragonglass.
Also we dont yet know but there are probably giant wights and other kinds of undead monsters Mammoths etc. they have in their ranks. And most of all how many there are..possibly more than all the wildlings and crows together (very little is known about them)

I lolled when I saw Ygritte's death scene (not present in the books afair). "I know people are killing each other Jon, but hold me for a minute while I'm dying here".
As for why the wall wasn't attacked full force, the full force isn't there yet (though I'm a bit confused with the show's timeline atm). Mance isn't there.

Yep that was a bit "Hollywoodian", you are right, in the book her arrow-riddled corpse is found by Jon after the battle and it is never clear who made the fatal shot.
In the show they made the child do it, only because Sam told him to, kinda dark in its own way.

There no sense in looking for logic in the battle. It was fantasy book battle.
In reality these guys on the wall shouldn't have any problem in holding it. The Wildlings climbing the Wall is the most idiotic idea ever. They would have been push away the second they closed to the defenders.
And if I had one tunnel that is a weak spot I would riddled it with pitfalls...

Also because of vengeance, as she killed his father.

Mance has no way of communicating with the scouts beyond the wall. Plus the scouts only found out they are fighting against 100 men in this episode, in previous seasons Snow went through great lengths to convice them there are thousands of men of nights watch. If he knew they were only 100 men he would have sent them - they think they have thousands at castle black. That was the whole purpose of previous wall episodes where they were killing the traitors, to kill anyone beyond the wall that might tell him that it's only 100 men.
