Nice, a preview where the "meh" part was the shooting being just like Crysis, which to begin with, isn't bad at all (infact well above average), I think I'm even more interested in this sequel now. I don't know why from how it's described it gives me a Fallout 3 vibe as well Scratch Head

Some of the images remind me a little of the vox populi revolutionz on bioshock infinite.

Well, I'm mildly interested, didn't expect that.

Maybe when Crytek goes under, Deep Silver will acquire the TimeSplitters IP and hire Crytek UK, rename them Free Radical Design and allow them to finally make a new TimeSplitters game.

TS doesn't need to be a bloated "AAA" title.

I can dream, right? Sad

http://www.guru3d.com/news_story/crytek_halted_working_on_homefront_the_revolution.html

Quote:

Crytek Halted Working On Homefront: The Revolution

After the many bankruptcy rumors now there are reports that Crytek's UK studio has stopped working on Homefront: The Revolution as its employees have not been paid yet. New developments point to more trouble ahead. Over the past two days, Journalists have spoken with four people connected to Crytek's UK studio, which is currently developing Homefront: The Revolution.

According to those people, Crytek's UK staff have still not been paid the full amounts they are owed, and this week, according to two sources, the staff at Crytek's UK office handed in formal grievance letters and went home.

One person familiar with the studio estimates that around 100 people have left, though it's unclear how many people plan to leave permanently and how many would like to stay with Crytek UK, which has been consistently losing staff for the past few months.

Rumor around the studio is that Crytek and Homefront publisher Deep Silver are currently negotiating over what will happen next. Employees at Crytek UK, which is based in Nottingham, are hoping that Deep Silver will purchase the studio and continue funding development of Homefront: The Revolution, according to two people connected to the company.

While there's no love lost between me a Derptek "let's release slideshow engines on PC, whine about piracy, then jump ship to consoles where we get buttfucked into bankruptcy" - I do feel sorry for the employees that weren't getting paid and that are now out of a job.

... and I'll lament the loss of what was sounding like a damned fine game in Homefront 2.
