it's really way too much for a muddy physics simulation proof of concept

It is a full game.
Do missions, earn points, upgrade truck, etc etc etc
I hate you.

It seems that the game gets positive reviews from the users community. The only complaint so far is the camera. I'll try this one later for sure!

Feels fun, looks good, and the mud / truck physics are fun. Its kinda challenging, i flipped the damn truck like 20 times before arriving at one objective, had to start over, take off the flatbed and any other heavy stuff, just to learn how to handle the truck.
The map is ACTUALLY useful in this game, because its preeeettyy hard to drive around in cliffs and forests, you really have to plan ur route so u dont find urself in a damn mud pit, a lake, a freaking hole, falling off a cliff or stuck in a sea of trees.
I saw a lot of attatchments like long trailers, cranes, etc.
Looking forward to play it more today. This time ill bring the flatbed to transport the lumber, which is the first objective.
And yes, that fucking camera is sooo damn weird. Its always on one side never above and straight to see forward, it kind of sticks to the side of the truck tilted.

Well that was fun... for 15 minutes
Great simulation, but well not that fun to play for a longer period. Camera does destroy it for me tho.

That was my experience as well. This game has an amazing tech with proper physics, fluids simulation and all, but the fairly limited gameplay isn't for everyone. Not for me at least. I got..'tyred' sooner than expected.
I'd love to see a rally sim/offroad racing game for example powered by this engine though, it would be a blast.

that game is very impressive... I am sure driving a truck is not nearly as difficult in real life but the physics of tires and mud are wow

The "sinking" factor is way too high. I had experience with ZIL and UAZ 469 like the ones in the game in even harsher conditions and they did better. Here you get stuck all the time in terrain thats not supposed to "suck" your vehicle that much. Its pain in the ass to get out even with locked diff. The game is nice but its suffering from the syndrome of games being more real than the real life which is not good.

It's a bit odd when you say: more real than real. Better to say they exaggerated the physics/reality/whatever
