Underbelly is an Australian television true crime-drama series which broadcasts on the Nine Network. Each series is based on real-life events. There have been 6 series in total, an upcoming version scheduled for 2014, titled (Fat Tony & Co) filmed partially in Greece is a direct sequel follow up to the first series, however is not branded under the Underbelly title.
It is an eight-part series based on the life and career of notorious Melbourne gangster, Squizzy Taylor, and is set between 1915 and 1927 Squizzy was the most infamous crime tsar Australia had ever seen. Driven by an insatiable appetite for money, power and fame, Squizzy ruled it all and played the game like no other- courting the press, entertaining the masses and baffling the police. And he would do anything to stay on top- betraying or extinguishing anyone who stood in his way. Loved by women, feared by men, Squizzy was a master manipulator... and his legend lives bold and strong in the pantheon of Underbelly anti-heroes

Those endings though?? Haha. It's like "yeah whatever man, just cut it right here and then straight to music, couldnt care less.." Weirdest / fastest endings ever.

i was also extremely surprised that the "main bad guy" dies so quick??? even the main theme music seems to be a reference to him (opera), and the main "poster" for the show has him as the guy in the middle.. Yet he did not have much screen time at all. By far the most interesting dude and probably the best actor of the lot, so that was a little odd.
