Oh, no, this shit didnt do that.
NOOOO fucking way.. I was clearing the whole map, getting all the vehicles and shadows, had a lot of fucking fun testing and using the vehicles, 2 hours playing, hit the last fucking shadow, and the game CRASHED and when i load i went back to when i launched this afternoon!!! . FUCK, THIS, I fucking shit on this game, oh goddd whyyyyy. 
This better be some sadistic Bohemia style DRM, because its that was the game, i have lost my trust in playing it again.

It crashes when you'd get an achievement. Open media.zip, just add something in the file trucks.xml in the templates folder, to disable achievements.

Alright, this game seems pretty awesome. Got a few questions for you guys.
What exactly are you supposed to do when you get ridiculously stuck? I know in non-hardcore mode or whatever you can just warp back to a garage, but that is lame. I thought you were supposed to be able to switch to a different truck and come rescue yourself or something? Is that not the case? The only way I figured out how to switch vehicles is to go into Advanced mode or something, and then click the vehicle name. And that only works if I'm right next to it. What is supposed to happen when you get really stuck? That's it? Game over?

I was stuck again yesterday....for 30 minutes. Yes, for 30 fucking minutes I was spinning the wheels, changing back and forth diff lock and finally I managed to get away from mud. I have the same questions as you though.

You can switch vehicle through the map even in hardcore.
Remember to not use automatic in hardcore.

Cant you arm a heavier truck, get the crane support, crane, park it close to the stuck vehicle, extend the crane legs, handbrake, and then winch the vehicle? I guess that would be the best way as i SUPPOSE that the crane legs will grab the terrain very effectively.

I got out, don't have winch. I use crane to push (literally) the truck that stuck, inch by inch until it passes the "dead zone" :P

Game is amazing.. bought it couple days ago. Has some annoying quirks, especially on multiplayer so holding off until they fix it. Was worth 27$ though.

Its useless, fixing only problem with wheels stuck under the map. But i read that puts another more annoying bug - you can drive through trees. Better just wait for next big update.

. I also stuck very bad few times and other trucks+winch always do the trick. Just be creative, there are a lot of points that you can attach the winch for. Also this big truck with 8 wheels, has attachent that can create attach point to it (it has stands that you can extend and the truck itself is very heavy). Also you can use the truck engine AND the winch at the same time (kind a tricky for now if you play with gamepad but still..).
