I'm really not. In fact, I'm not making a big enough deal about it. Charging people for character slots is despicable, not even the worst f2p game makes you pay for a SECOND slot. Fourth and fifth, sure, but second? This is just the beginning and seeing as how so many of you (yes even on here) defend this action, it shocks me as to what you're going to accept - and defend - next.

but those are not character slots.
character slots -> you have a mage, you want a warrior, you need pay to unlock that slot to be able to play a warrior. this is not the case.
what they ask to pay is for personalized npc for your ship, npc you can anyway get ingame.
i could understand that you are against the whole microtransaction shop, but this crap is in the same deal with personalized hat's or glasses.

Maybe you're right, but so far all I'm seeing is massive monetisation on a game that's not even out yet and I'm supposed to be happy and accepting.

Yes. Everything seems directed at earning money. The fan-services with the weekly shows etc aren't really illuminating the game as much as they are just creating new questions and gets people to wonder how the fuck they're going to follow through on everything they've promised to jam into this title.

I still haven't tried the arena because it turns out i have to buy it separately.
Everything is a fucking dlc.
There's also NO DETAILED RECEIPT of what my original pledge contained since I did it on the RSI web page to bypass kickstarter percentage for their benefit, and the original pledge webpage is offline.
I'm getting pretty fucking disillusioned with this bullshit.

Just look at your Hangar (not Chris Roberts Presents Chris Roberts' Hangar Simulator by Chris Roberts, look under My RSI > My Hangar on the website) and it will show what pledges you made and what addons are available for your account. As long as you have a game/ship package (such as the Digital Scout) that states "alpha/beta access" then you have access to Slideshow Fighting Module.

The money.. well.. I am guessing they will burn through 20 mill a year, basically means they have to be done by 2016 ...
The p2w argument... Is everyone expecting to totally suck at this game or what? Stock aurora with missiles and a not braindead pilot should be able to win at minimum a 3v1 fight against standard pve vanduul at all times. Heck it might take a little longer to get the funds but I am sure there is a no risk low profit foodstuff route from earth to ganymed or something similar
Every ship and equipment can be bought for ingame credits on the live servers. If you cant buy it, just steal it.
The expected high costs for ships has to be paid only once! After that its just insurance. Okok, afaik their is a plan to have no insurance systems but it still basically means if you dont go balls deep into vanduul or pirate space you wont loose your ship. ( ah yes, afaik there will be equipment and cargo insurance too )
Character slots, well star wars galaxies only gave you one char per server ( jedis got a 2nd I know.. ), EVE kinda gives you only one aswell...
For the record, dont really like it, would love to have atleast a 2nd one but I still have hope to argue that later when they start testing the PU, atm I cant really guess what would be better from a gameplay perspective except that multiple chars would probably lessen the emotional impact of the death mechanic
I am pretty sure you can make as many chars as you want and play the SP campaign with them though. Last time I checked putting your char into the persitent universe wasnt automatic, you have to choose to do so
*narf*edit* 6 core 8 gigs 1.2 gigs 570 no ssd ( *sadpandaface* ) and its staying on medium above 30 fps, quite frankly I was happy that I didnt had to buy a new rig last week

ReExported LandingGear_deploy animation

Improved lighting but for real this time
If a Vanduul becomes sufficiently damaged they disappear from the map and their name in-game becomes “undefined”. Need to be destroyed to progress. Added missing return to fix.
Allow custom user CFGs to be specified in cmd line.
When one player ejects from their ship, the frozen visor FX may appear on all player’s screens.
After destroying another player their body will float in space in a t-pose.
MP Fix – Player is now hidden following a vehicle destruction death as in SP.
Hangar
Buggy can now drive properly in the Business Hangar
Turrets no longer mountable on missile racks hardpoints
Third person camera no longer rotates using Q and E
Replace me ball no longer present under Hornet Trainer
Improvements to Trainer Hornet rear landing gear geometry
No longer able to place 325a engine on other ships
Hornet Ghost engine no longer able to be equipped on other ships
Resolved issue of no ammo when chaingun removed and added back to ship
Fix for third person camera rotating when pressing Q or E when not in zero-g
Created basic mapping for Logitech G940. Fixed up a number of asserts it caused in the Joystick device handler.
The Logitech G940 completely changes if you install the correct drivers. Updated the mappings to work with those drivers rather than the default windows ones.
AC menu can be navigated using a gamepad
Known Issues:
HUD target indicator arrows can be missing
Graphical issues can occur while using SLI/Crossfire
It can be possible to sometimes load into a black screen when choosing an Arena Commander match
Hornet gatling guns take heat damage when not being fired
Hornet gatling gun ammo temporarily shown as missile racks in the Holo-Table

Huge patch fixing a bunch of issues.. no performance improvements though (why bother? it's running flawlessly for everyone apparently) and they finally acknowledge the broken SLi/Crossfire.

Well when you are in the free roam solo thingamajig on medium settings it runs rather ok. So you can practice till 2017 when you have the beast to run it and the game is finally out!
The hangar however.... seems no one thinks it needs optimization

It's odd... at High quality, I get 60fps in the hanger with no problems - and my specs are not exactly earthshatteringly good.
