holy lord, poor doggy , thank the lord it had a semi decent ending and he will be ok... not to be rude but that cost for the vet is SO cheap compared to what we would pay here... oh man I don't even wanna imagine how many thousands it might have cost at my vet... u guys are good to fix him... i know people who would put a dog down for anything more than 200 bux... fucking nuts..

leave the car muffler, car will run for a decade with it on if its just the exhaust and isn't that serious. get some beer and pet the dog and play some games to calm down

That's damned decent of you Nailbiter, thanks for the offer, but it's okay - we still have a car Smile Luckily we didn't have to go see that specialist for 30k so we didn't have to sell our car grinhurt

Oh man that sucks - operations like that aren't cheap but I'm glad the dog pulled through!

This is why I wouldn't want a dog - I'd grow to attached to them to see them die of cancer (which most dogs here do).

I'll stick to hamsters they are cheap to buy, cheap to feed and are still funny to w atch.

Yeah, it's not easy having a companion for x amount of years and then watching them die.. that's for damned sure. I had a pet rat named Kaisar a few years back and she was incredible - I had her for 3 years since she was six months old and eventually she died because of a tumour. That was not a fun day, not one bit.

"I'll stick to hamsters they are cheap to buy, cheap to feed and are still funny to watch."

ever wondered what the hamster feels like being locked up in cage for his life ...

i consider pets the latest form of slavery and i want no part of it, all this love this love that is just cheap words to cover up that those animals just really are ur source of entertainment for which they end up locked up for their life in one home or place . maybe my upbringing in a boarding school, knowing what its like to be 'locked up' to a certain extent, made me realize this.

I dont think i would have payed, so on that moral level u are one step ahead of me however, so kudos to that.

For what it's worth; Kai never stayed in her cage Wink She slept on my pillow, haha.

No, this is our own doggie, Knerten, who is 14 next month. Sadly the vet doesn't know what it is yet, could be a tumour or an abscess, but they took some blood yesterday to see if everything was okay for general anaesthesia and it looked good - so he'll have an operation soon, maybe next week. Another 3800kr (At least, it was 1800 for the visit yesterday and and "2000 or more" for the op, depending on what it is and how bad)

Seriously, FML it's just one thing after another Sad
