something interesting it seems ID has hired anti-p2p groups to target one of the torrents for this. They're attacking people who show up on it with DoS attacks.

Uh, wouldnt that be just as illegal as downloading a pirated version?

Uh, wouldnt that be just as illegal as downloading a pirated version?

Yes.. and as far as I recall the court system has always taken a dim vieew of illegal behaviour used to stop other illegal behaviour unless its a life or death situation. Not to mention that the groups who do this for ID are going to end up in trouble with their ISPs... I highly doubt that when the complaints come in for the DoS attacks that they're going to care that that user was on IDs payroll. I've gotten a lot of hits from California, a couple from asia, and the rest from europe (bulgaria, sweden, a couple other places). I've sent of many abuse complaints, and I would encourage other people to do the same who have routers with logging set up.

******SPOILER ALERT*******
Well, I finally killed Stroggofied Voss!! Yesterday he handed my ass to me with his minions, Dark Matter Gun and Directed/Around Corner Rockets. Last night I got home from work and fired it up and Killed him right out of the starting gates! It was a great battle! At least 15 minutes! I had to make sure I killed his minions first and then successfully strafed his Around Corner Rockets. They aren't homing but directed. I used the Lightning Gun and Rocket Launcher primarily!! When he would recharge his shields I would fill him full of rockets. At the end I just circled the middle area (retreating of course) leaving a grenade for him as he came around the corner.
I read all the negative shit about this game and don't understand it. I beat DOOM III and really enjoyed that. At some point I will play and finished DOOM III Resurrection of Evil too. I am going to beat Quake 4 before the weekend and I have enjoyed this game even more! I guess I just love this old school type of game. Don't get me wrong, Half-Life 2 was AWESOME! Quake 4 has incredible environments and they are very detailed. I am just amazed at the machinery they are able to constructed for this game world with this engine. I am in agreement with the Strogg Home World backgrounds being just horrible compared to the rest of the game. But still, at least there is some sort of outside to look at. Next game I play will be to finish FEAR. So, this month has been incredible! November is shaping up to very good too.
If you haven't played Quake 4 yet, give it a try! I was hooked from the get go! What the hell kind of creature is that when you have to open the Docking Bay Doors.....Jet Pack!!!!!!!! Damn! I cannot wait to kill it! LOL!
