"With 'Rambo V' Sylvester Stallone returns in his iconic role. This time he goes up against a Mexican cartel. Stallone, who has also written the screenplay, describes the new Rambo as his version of 'No Country for Old Men.' Like the last film, 'Rambo V' is produced by Avi Lerner ("The Expendables 1-3")

PG-13? Laughing

"I think Call of Duty resonates because it's believable and relatable," Sledgehammer Games cofounder Michael Condrey says.

Believable and relatable...Yep, sounds like Call of Duty

His version of 'No country for old men' where Sly leaves the retirement home and gets walked across the street by the "bad guy".

Will this be morally repugnant bilge like the last one?

At least it doesn't sound as retarded as the last premise with Rambo taking on a genetically engineered beast with a hunger for human blood Laughing

Stallone still looks pretty fit for his age.
But he was already moving/acting so slow in the last Rambo movie Sad

I really liked Rambo 2008, one a very few action movies i've seen more than 1 time in recent years.

Stallone makes me want to start taking steroids Laughing Though i guess face lift + hair transplant does help keeping you look young(er) too lol. It's still kind of retarded that women are given hormones when they get older (and no one would argue its morally wrong, even though it affects nature and animals in horrible ways), but for men to use hormones to deal with old age, nooooooooo..

More common these days in the US, at least (in the sense that it's possible to get a prescription for this):

In Europe though they'd probably just send you to be tested and tell you to DWI if you fell within the normal range.

Well, it's probably the Last for him. But most likely not for the franchise.

Should the movie be made Stallone won't star.

http://variety.com/2016/film/news/sylvester-stallone-retiring-rambo-1201672291/

Quote:
Despite saying for years that he was working on a script for “Rambo V,” Sylvester Stallone revealed in a new interview with Variety that he has no intention of reprising his role as the iconic military war hero.

“The heart’s willing, but the body says, ‘Stay home!,’”
Stallone, 69, explained in this week’s cover story. “It’s like fighters that go back for one last round and get clobbered. Leave it to someone else.”

Stallone noted that he was content with where 2008’s “Rambo IV” left the character, which he first played in 1982. “You know when you realize there’s nothing more to pull out?” Stallone says. “As an action film, I was very satisfied that it dealt with the Burmese situation. It had one foot in a current event, the longest civil war in history, 65 years at that time. It was so brutal, which civil war is, I was shocked they even gave me an R-rating. I didn’t want to compromise. I said, ‘This is probably going to be the last decent film of this genre that I’m going to do as a solo act.’ When that was accomplished, I never felt the same willingness to do it again.”

He added: “There’s nothing left. When they asked me to do another ‘Rambo,’ I said, ‘If I can’t do better than I did last time, and I can’t, then why’?”

The end of an era Crying or Very sad Razz
Very understandable though, as he was already nearly "off-limits" back in 2008 (although he pulled it off nicely).

'Rambo: New Blood' is the title of the project and would not star Sylvester Stallone.

I don't understand why we need a remake at all. The original is perfect as it is.
