Holy fucking fail, the voices. Even turning it to zero doesnt mute them. Cant concentrate on dialogues etc with that shit constantly spewing from NPCs mouths. Dunno what they were thinking, was this not in beta? If it was I cant imagine ppl not being pissed about it.
Runs like shit too.
Needs a few patches like every Larian game i guess. Music is beautiful, love the tracks from DD and the new ones too.
I don't like how if you've got your inventory open on one character, and you click on the portrait of the other one it doesn't change (you basically have to use arrows up at the top). Also, it's not cool how it doesn't show you how much of an influence on AP/Speed the initial attribute points yield during creation.
Other than that though, I'm having a blast!
you can easily open inventory by right clicking, both side by side (as any other window).

voices are annoying yes, but game runs completely fine on my rig.
btw with every class you learn new skills from books you find in the game?

Class doesn't matter, you learn skills and spells depending on how you spec your skill points. For example if you have one point in Pyromancer you can learn 3 fire spells. Two points you can learn 5 fire spells, etc.
You missed the point. Skill points give you empty slots in particular category, I was asking if there is any other way to learn the skill themselves or is it just finding a books.
I noticed one of the perks would allow me to go solo in character creation, you get a bonus for doing so too
Lone Wolf, yeah, and there was another one purely for mages too; Raistlin, doubling AP recovery but halving health haha.. sadly they changed the name late into the beta, likely to avoid copyright shit, which is a damned shame Hornyfavn and I are waiting for the inevitable mod that brings the old talent name back as well as giving gold skin and hourglass pupils
Is there an option to change the second character without starting a new game (ssome save editor, or perhaps a mod)? Got pretty far (after 7 hours) and would hate to start over.
And so far after 7 hours, the game is well worth the 8 keys (bought two for 2 dollars and the rest for $2.12/$2.13 on the market (so in total paid about $18 for it)) that I traded for the game.
A friend of mine gave me a beta key for this months and months ago. I only played for about an hour bag then because it was very buggy but had awesome potential. Now its it's officially released I went to buy it on steam but it said I already owned it. So I downloaded it and its let me play lol. Am I just lucky? or was there full keys given out with kickstarter rewards?
Larian had a change of heart yesterday and announced, quietly during a comment on Kickstarter, that beta keys would be converted to full and not revoked as per the original plan. You got yourself a full copy of the game, enjoy it!
Well, at least until Larian institute their "revoke beta key and reissue full key?" option for customers who want to take back beta copies they gave to friends, let's just hope your friend doesn't use it and let's you keep the game
what the hell. I switched audio playback device in windows yesterday and the sound jumped over to my tv, and now it won't go back, and i can only get audio if my playback device is the TV :S:S
Fuckin hell, I tip my hat to the devs, thats a great thing to do.
Yea, it's really great of them to bend the people that actually paid for the game's development over a table.
What happened, bud? I thought this was a GOOD thing? Backers got given beta keys to give to friends and now those copies are made full. It seemed like a Good Guy Larian kind of thing - I mean, it does put Larian out of pocket by a substantial amount, based on lost "potential" sales :\
No mate, I gave my beta-keys to Bob&Newt, since Larian stated that the keys would be replaced with other keys on release. Now, Bob&Newt are enjoying D:OS, while I'm waiting for Larian to program a tool to interface with Steam so I can revoke their keys, create new ones, and only Then I can start playing D:OS.
I mean, I get why they did it this way, crunch and all, but I still feel a bit shafted.
Oh! Oh shit, yeah... Now I see what you mean and definitely understand your annoyance. That would definitely be a source of mighty fury from me, haha. Do a solid for friends and you end up losing out.. Ouch. Then you have to seem/feel like the bad guy when you revoke the keys just so you can play something you bought.
Have you contacted Larian? They may be helpful and work things out for you
Hehe, I can imagine your fury would be a tad more mighty than mine indeed
They are working on the tool, but they haven't posted any ETA for it so it's the waiting game. On the other hand, maybe they'll push through a few patches in the mean time and I'll get less bugs ^_^
