You will also be able to explore more a second play through, so to beat the game fully you will have to complete the game twice.

I heard that after you beat the game at first, a "HARD MODE" is unlocked and then if you beat the game in hard mode you get to fight an extra special colosse. =) Thing is...who the fuck has enough energies to end the game once again? :/ |
You got lied to. There's no 17th Colossus.

Does anyone know how to do the backflip off of the horse? I did it once and it looked sweet but I can't do it anymore. btw guys you should post any tricks you know how to do, I will post some for examples, if anyone knows more, please tell.
Down and X together at same time on the horse will boost off at full speed
You can press R1 to grab onto the horse if you jump towards him
Holding R1 and UP on the horse will stand up
Holding R1, TRIANGLE, and LEFT on the horse will lean off to the side
If a hawk is flying over you while your riding, jump off the horse and press R1 to grab its feet and fly away. Same with fish, R1 lets you grab onto them and ride.
While in the air, you can hold R1 and press SQUARE to thrust your sword down (Causes full damage instead of having to charge up the stab)
Equip the hand (down on D-pad) and press O on the horse to pet him.
Holding X while jumping off of a cliff does a dive.
hmm i dont think I know anymore but I would like to know how to do the backflip!

beat the hard mode, didnt unlock anything new, it also seems there is only one ending (i dont like multiple endings anyway).
btw what good is that indian riding style where you hang at the side of the horse?
seems to have no real function to me...

Jesus is the hidden 32:nd Colossus, he´s extremely hard to beat and 5 screens high.

Goes to the history as one of the greatest games ever made. Really, that's just amazing.
I'm currently on the 7th (?) colossi, the first (if there are any other) underwater battle. I don't get how to beat it, since it's weak spot is on it's head, but the electrical field reaches the head. So by the time i reach the head, I'm already a fried potato.

Its easy:
Spoiler: |
Swim nearby him till hes coming your way, watch his electrical spines tho, and once his tail comes above the water grab onto it...then wait for him to come above water again and advance to the first spine and knock it out by stabbing it, do so till you reach the head and hes toast. =)

FINALLY I completed it all. Hard time attack mode is a BITCH and I will never ever do it again, I've cursed and slammed my controller down enough for a lifetime. Just gotta know something tho: Is there REALLY a 17th colossus? Because I've read about it on a lot of places, I didnt think it was just a rumor but now when I climbed all the way to the top of the temple, Nothing happens...no colossus waiting for me...nothing to do.

I completed it on sunday. The game was just so damn cool. A unforgettable PS2 experience for me. I fought like over an hour with the penultimate colossi, yet I think it was one of the coolest ones. And the ending... the ending was really good also, nothing that I would have expected.
Now I have time to finish RE4.

Sorry to dig up an old thread and I dont even own a PS2 anymore but my Dad just got the playable demo on one of his PS2 magazines and I saw and played this for the first time and I have to say it took my breath away! I havent seen a game that has done that in quite some time and it looks like it could be one of the best games I will ever play. Its got ICO2 written all over it and the visual style with its lush environments and vast architecture is very reminiscent of ICO. Riding the horse was great, making him gallop by hammering the X button and using the sword to show the path and how to progress in the game was really impressive. Climbing up a huge giant monster, hanging on for dear life and stabbing it was fun on a level Ive never seen in a game before. When I downed the great beast, which I have to say took me quite a few attempts all I could think of was I have to get this game and I have to play it but I dont even own a PS2 console anymore since I sold it! I understand its been available for a while in America and also for those UK chipped PS2 owners thanks to the internet but I just checked and the game is due to buy here next month and I seriously would and probably will buy a PS2 just to play this magnificent game.
May the NFOrce be with you always.
