No mario game has done a mario 64 since, mario 64.
Could you imagine if they did that again, with today's graphics and gameplay standards? Mental

Too much nostalgia my friend. Go play again Mario 64 nowadays and try to play Super Mario 3D World, graphics aside, it owns Mario 64 !

I think they've been trying to recapture that with all the gadgets and controllers and shit. None have come close tbh imo.

Just picked up Mario 3d, so far It's much better than galaxy and It's better than mario64. Mario64 was great for its time but this is a better game no doubt.

you are right though, exclusives-wise the wii u has better games, xenoblade 2 and zelda alone make my hard-on bust concrete.

It really doesnt. Mario 64 was far better, really liked the whole concept, the presentation was better too (jumping into paintings, for example). Mario Galaxy was really great too. Don't like the new Mario's much at all :/

Too bad for you then I guess, you are one exception. Most people love it that's for sure 
I agree with you that the presentation was nice but the game was really different than old 2D Mario. What I like about SM3DW is that it's a mix of the good old 2D Mario and Mario 64, the best of both worlds !
I didn't like much Mario Galaxy sadly, I thought the Wii mote gameplay was terrible (specially in SMG2 with Yoshi) and not needed. Also, the lack of coop gameplay makes it look even more terrible compared to SM3DW...
Also, have in mind that SM3DW dev are the same as SMG2 (Wii) and SM3DL (3DS), it's undeniable that all 3 games have similar stuff in common.
Finally, i'm not a fan of having my head upside down

I guess the wiiu lifetime ended this year. it already has more than 10 amazing games already. Some of them include exclusive ports that work really well on the wiiu. I think you mean genres you're willing to play. So unless it gets the next COD you're going to buy... wii u will only have two amazing games.
Do yourself a favour and get off of that hardcore high horse you're on.
gonna have to buy a second wiiu for piracy like i did with the 360

Yep, both favor and favour are correct. Same as color and colour. Never understood why so many people get hung up on these words and what they know to be the right word to use.

Because they're spelt differently, that's why. One is only correct in certain territories and the same with the other, that's why "people get hung up on it"
