8 vs 15 level merchant? maybe he wasnt supposed to be an challenging enemy. Try killing Arhu the cat or venture forth into jungle in second location, wont be that easy.

Where is Blossius's chest?

The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.

Braccus - huge and evil lord of the evil. Sure looked like a hard fight with 4 bosses at once untill I locked out the spawn of Ghoul and Skeleton and shortly teleported Braccus to Diederiks "cell" as well

there is a small "flee from combat" button on the right side below the teleport button that only shows up in a fight. You cant have the courageous(? i think) trait though.

That reminds me, having the courageous perk has been a little issue whenever I encounter death-knights, since those are "special" and I can't flee it gets a bit tricky in certain situations.

Honestly with multiple quicksave slots (best thing ever) and autosave before any major fight I dont even see the need to flee from battle.

True enough, you can even save during combat, conversations and even the little mini-game though that last one will reset to default if you load so you can't cheese it. Very Happy

Check if the one that is talking to the major actually has the staff in his/her inventory.

Yup, saving during fight/dialogues and almost everything else is also amazing, along with not locking the game if one character is talking, you can do anything with any other npc, shows what Infinity engine based games were lacking.

Btw did german/frensh language and other patches interfered with anyone save? Lets say you started playing in english version and changed the language after that - will you need to start all over again or is it hassle free transition?

the game doesn't fully support virtual filesystems yet. Meaning some things can be modded, like areas and content. But not skills/spells.
And it's going to take some time before you'll see new areas or content coming out - people will have to learn the toolkit first Smile

Also I left a message on a tree in a forest for the people at nfohump, see if you can find it Smile

Holy shit, it's Epsi! Long time, no see, bud It's a shame to hear about the limitations, I was under the impression that were no limitations in the devkit, so hopefully that changes eventually.

Theres no limitations to the devkit, you can make new skills and spells. The game just won't read them when you put them in as a mod.

@Badrien

Did they announce when it would be implemented? Tbh I haven't been following their announcements and whatnot in regard to the editor if there were any.

I decided to restart the game (12 hours in, just reached the Braccus boss fight) because I messed up the build of one of my characters. I restarted with a mage (so no change here) and a ranger(I think that's what it's called, the bow lady/dude). It's substantially easier with bows than with dagger-wielding stealth orientated Shadowblade).

Basically I completely fucked up the Shadowblade build which made her die almost in every fight, and I had to waste all of my resurrect scrolls on her, which made the Braccus boss fight quite impossible.

Still enjoying the game so fucking much, definitely my GOTY.

In the coming weeks. There is a fan made tool that allows you to repackage game data, thus allowing you to implement spell or skill changes, but it's not the intended method for doing so.

It makes sense though. Why should a character which does not hold the key be able to open the locked door?

I usually use my rogue char to collect keys and lockpick at the same time.

"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."
