In Battleborn’s distant future, the only hope for the last star in a dying universe is a new breed of warriors, who must put aside their differences to drive back an unstoppable menace. Choose from a myriad of powerful heroes and fight together alongside your friends in an intense co-operative campaign, or battle against them in fast-paced competitive multiplayer matches.
Gearbox Software president Randy Pitchford calls the game a "hero-shooter," as opposed to Borderlands 2's style of "shooter-looter."
"As a genre-fused, hobby-grade, co-operative and competitive FPS exploding with eye-popping style and an imaginative universe, Battleborn is the most ambitious video game that Gearbox has ever created," Pitchford said.
"The size, scope, and ambition of Battleborn are unlike any other title in 2K's history, and the result is a defining next-gen co-operative experience," 2K Games president Christoph Hartmann said.
Battleborn will launch for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC during the 2016 fiscal year.
Well if will their solo/coop story campaign stand on its own, in dont reall care if it has MOBAish competitive MP
Sometimes I like nonrealistic art styles, like with Dishonored. Or TWD. However Borderlands looked like it was made for kids, this looks like it's made for babies.

They're not though, not really. DNF wasn't "made" by Gearbox, it was taken over by them, it was really only ACM that was terrible. I mean; HL OpFor/BlueShift were great, as was THPS3, Halo was damned fun, the two Brothers in Arms games, Borderlands 1+2 and Aliens Infestation on the DS is great as well. They've done some bad games and some good games, just like most developers.
