Now that Suarez is a Barcelona player, he'll probably get the ban lifted. I wonder if there's a clause in his contract where he's forbidden to bite other players, except the ones from Real Madrid.. Laughing

Yeah, just like the transfer ban farce back then Razz. There's nothing to do, if you have power, you can do whatever you want Sad

BTW, I am very looking forward to admiring a Pepe vs Suarez fighting match! Laughing

Conte has apparently resigned from Juve, just when you thought Italian football couldnt sink any lower.
Shame Milan signed Pippo a few months ago, we would've welcomed him with open arms...

Massimiliano Allegri named new Juventus coach. Laughing

Quote:
Massimiliano Allegri was appointed the new manager of Italian soccer champions Juventus on Wednesday less than 24 hours after Antonio Conte quit the post.

Allegri has been out of work since his sacking by AC Milan in January. The 47-year-old led Milan to the Serie A title in 2010.

His impressive achievement at Juve, where he had enjoyed an illustrious career as a player, had him linked with a move to French giants Monaco, who were reported to have offered him an open cheque book.

At the time, Conte, speaking in the third person, said: "If Antonio decides to take another path, then he will do so with the greatest respect for the club and the players".

Conte, who won the Champions League as a player in 1996, added: "I won it as a player and, one day, I want to win it as a coach. But if you ask me if it's possible to do this with Juventus, I would say no."

Conte, who held talks with Juve's key stakeholders, said the club "know what I think and they've had the time to mull over what I've said".

But the differences appeared to have been resolved in mid-May when Juventus confirmed that Conte would be staying.

Conte is tipped to succeed Cesare Prandelli as national team manager.

Allegri will bring Juventus to Australia to take on the A-League All Stars team at ANZ Stadium on August 10.

This whole thing was incredibly weird and..kinda embarrassing. I wouldn't say completely unexpected, since Conte already wanted to leave back in May (because of problems with the management/mostly budget-related I gather), but the replacement is what made me facepalm the most. Okay

Allegri is the one who preferred Van Bommel to Pirlo, forcing him to leave, so you can imagine the awkward situation now Laughing. Not to mention the whole drama about the scudetto 2012 when Milan lost it to Juve despite being 7 points ahead, with the legendary "ghost goal" and tons of accusations, it's gonna be rough xD. I hope the players are wise enough to understand and do their best anyway. Anything can happen at this point, but I think it's safe to say that the whole project has gone tits up.

Meanwhile, James Rodriguez is actually at medical in Madrid now:

Can't f*cking believe it, I'm ashamed I support such club as Real Madrid, Di Stefano and all other legends are now rolling over in their graves. Buy James for 80m€ and sell best player from last season to PSG for 50m€? Only Florentino Perez can do such thing... Shocked Confused

I hope that James will be a flop, so they overthink their concept of buying players, all he did was playing a good wm and a few good matches in ligue1 and Real is willing to pay 80 mio. euro, thats insane. Besides that i hope that Kroos gets enough playtime Crying or Very sad

Guess Di Maria will be leaving?

Full attacking squad. Surprised

Ronaldo - Benzema - Bale
Modrić / Xavi - James - Kroos
Marcelo - Ramos - Pepe - Carvajal

Quote:
Cristiano, Bale + Rodríguez cost Real Madrid around €265M: more than what Ajax have spent on transfers (€232M) since their founding in 1900.

...

He was pretty bad here in Italy too, but who knows, maybe he'll become the hero that Stoke deserves.
