Quest for Glory was my all time favorite Sierra adventure style games though, and this looks remarkably close, definitely giving this a shot!

Same as, especially Quest for glory V(?) I think it was. The one with the vampire and the gym training room. Loved that one

I've been craving for a QFG-like game since the first 90s and now we get two in one year, with a third one (Mage's Initiation) incoming

How good is this game compared to Heroine's quest? Because that one was really great.
"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."

Tough call that one..
This game has more re-playability, but they are both good games

Nothing comes close to providing as amazing an experience as Quest for Glory 4. That game blew my mind when I first played it.
1 and 2 are still amazing.

Haha
The second reviewer seems to be immensely butthurt about meaningless matters (playing the sexist card also, a deja-vu), and has been bashed in the comments.
The game looks great, I'll give it a try in the week-end. (Decided to start Divinity too, so it might be a hard task to find some free time xD)

I funded this and didn't really keep track of its progression because it wasn't one of my most anticipated Kickstarted games - but I enjoyed the original QfG games and considering the low price, thought they deserved a chance. I'll be testing this game as soon as possible.

Game is great. Bought it the other day and man oh man so much nostalgia. Quest For Glory was my favorite Sierra Quest series and I ate Sierra games as a kid. The sexist bit is retarded. It's part of the game's atmosphere damn it.
Spent an hour grinding climbing, magic, and sneaking as well. Been playing this more than Original Sin, but mostly since I'm stuck at work and my laptop doesn't run OS very well.

The game is solid indeed, with the base mechanics taken straight from Quest for Glory which isn't a bad thing of course. The sprites are sexy, locations seem interesting enough, same for the characters and the funny lines/descriptions. I'm not sure I like the combat, because it's quite random so far, but the rest seems good.
The voice acting like Proekaan said is...not the game's strongest point (*euphemism*), but I sort of like the amateurish voices. They're hilarious in their own, weird, off-putting way

I turned voices off completely. One thing is awful, another is bad execution. Some of them sound like they were recorded off a phone. The result mixed with those recoded well just doesn't work. It's really a shame because writing, like whole game, is great.
Only other thing that bothered me was that Act 3 was short, it was almost as long as epilogue, but game has different ways of solving quests and big replay value with three classes, so that makes up for it.

I am disappointed that Mr. Roehm can't fuck anyone in game and not just the intro. No need to show it, but think of the sidequests.
