Try WRC4. Much more like old CMR games. Handling in Dirt is much worse than it was in CMR.

What he said. If you liked CMR, that's the best replacement. Dirt 3 does look fancy, but it really has nothing to do with pure rally, since it's fundamentally a NFS "offroad" version. Dirt 1 on the other hand, had indeed some Mcraey feel.

Yep they're alright . They only have to distribute it, so even in the worst case scenario they don't have too much power (to fuck things up) anyway.

just tried it again after 2-3 months, they have done an amazing job till now. but is replay function broken? screens is only black, fast forward and reverse seems working according to the sound. and pressing the back button on the pad (too lazy to put up the wheel now) gives me control over the car back but screens keeps black and the replay options are on screen too

This game doesn't run good for me at all, i have it on 1920 res, aax2, most things on low odd medium, low reflections etc and my set up is a 7950 gfx card, i5 3750, 16 gigs of mem, surly it should run better, i get in race say on practice 20-34 fps max, in a race its 16- 22 fps max?
Any ideas please?

When you say AAx2...what AA would that be? You might've set it to downsampling

for me ds2x (downsampling aa) looks best in relation to the performance hit. ds4x looks fucking awesome but has massive fps drops in rain

Now I'd like to know if they implemented that the cars also create distortion and ripples when driving through
BTW Sabin, just to continue the discussion from the DC thread: No matter how many assists you enable, this drives like an assisted sim, simply because your car does not stick to the track like in the NFS games :/ I'd still pirate it if I were you and just stick to the cars that have a very accessible driving model. Actually if you are still interested, would you want to give it a shot? I can give you my steam account temporarily (don't know, two three days?) and you could drive around as I don't have that much time to play lately anyway... (and the games I play aren't on steam )
BTW: I had time to play Forza Horizon on an xbox, but sadly my friends TV is a very small, old PAL. First of all, it looks great for an XBOX game! Of course it's 30fps but I didn't play NFS Most Wanted at 60FPS either on my PC back in the day, and this reminded me of that. But to be honest, I prefer Test Drive Unlimited to Horizon. The bigger island of Oahu was simply incredible. Driving wise it felt like NFS Most Wanted, but a bit too floaty and inderect. Nothing comparable to the awesome driving of the M1 Procar (I think my favorite car in pCars so far )

Yeah, sadly this is what I feared It's a shame as pCars looks incredible and I would love to play it, but I'm just not into sims.

Oh I absolutely will once it comes out! I have to at least KNOW how it feels and performs, eh? Thanks for the offer though, that's damned decent of you Pumpy <3, I don't have time right now and my PC is performing sub-optimally lately, so I wouldn't play it as it properly deserves but thanks regardless!

Shit, just tried the newest build. Wow does it look great but my machine can't handle the game anymore almost everything on low and it is still at 30fps :'(

I'll try the build later today. Let's hope it runs quite well. A correction: My cpu is q6600 not q6000 as I posted earlier by mistake.

I have early access from 2012 if I'm not mistaken. You'll have to wait for the official release I guess. I don't think SMS have any plans for open/closed beta and the official release date is getting closer.

Yup, I'm in there since build 150 or so, that is from 2 years ago. The interesting thing is, that graphically it improved mainly in details. Generally seen, the cars and lighting was already fantastic in the early build. But of course dynamic clouds and weather generation, multi layer track marks, improved trees, improved crowds, new rain effects, reflection layers .. ... ... have been added in the meantime And lots of cars and tracks aswell.
If the new azure coast is a premise of the performance requirements for this game, well then I am fucked. The details on that track are amazing but I do really hope that I'll be able to disable as much as possible so that this still runs as good as it did before
yusosexy pcars?!
Well at least paxsali's i7 with GTX680 seems to suffer aswell
