1) Do you think gaming has become the most important thing in your daily life? Yes. Though it was always the most important thing, but I'm not counting my wife here because she's not a "thing"
2) Have you jeopardised your job or education because of your gaming activity? No. Nothing about my jobs or education were affected by gaming.
3) Have you experienced relationship problems (with your partner, children or friends) because of your gaming? No. All my family are gamers, as are my friends.
4) Do you feel irritable, anxious or sad when you try to cut down or stop gaming? No. See #7, I don't try to cut down or stop. Why would I? Unlike drug addiction, my gaming habits hurt nobody - not even myself.
5) Do you play games as a way of making your mood feel better? Yes. Absolutely yes, gaming is my pleasure and my escape from lifelong depression.
6) Have you lost interests in other hobbies and leisure activities because of gaming? "Because of gaming"? No. I have dropped hobbies in the past, though this was more about funds or simple lack of interest, than as a result of gaming.
7) When trying to cut down or stop your gaming, do you feel that you can’t? N/A, I don't/haven't try(ied) to cut down.
8) Do you feel totally preoccupied with gaming (for example, even if you are not actually gaming you are thinking about it)? Yes. This one is an emphatic yes, I've been a gamer my entire life and will be one for the rest of it too, no doubt. When I'm not gaming, I'm usually thinking or talking about it. Except when I spend time with my immediate family.
9) Have you lied to anyone because the amount of time you spend gaming? Nope. I've always been forthcoming and honest about my extended playing time.
10) Have you spent an increasing amount of time gaming every day over the last six months? No. The amount of time I play has always been extreme, it has neither increased nor decreased recently.

yes -as an actual activity, its the most important one, but I don't count eating, having sex and smoking weed as activities.
yes- I could have spent more time studying in high school and college, but i chose to spend my prime years on hedonistic activities.
yes- i've distanced from some friends who thought gaming was nerdy or socially unacceptable. would do the same with gf. gaming is a part of me, don't like it, tough luck.
no- i don't have an addictive personality. I can go months without gaming/substances/sex, etc., and have done so multiple times.
no- when i'm nervous or my thoughts are somewhere else, gaming won't help, in fact I dislike playing then as it prevents me from immersing in the game world.
no - I partake in hobbies and leisure activities when I feel like it. When I am overstimulated with games, I do other things, and the same in reverse.
no- again, don't have an addictive personality.
yes - I often think about gaming even when not gaming. I do the same for a lot of other things, so don't see this as unusual.
no - nope, I game, and I am proud of it. don't like it, tough luck
no - this comes and goes, as I get bored or overstimulated with games, i decrease playtime or stop for a few days.
so his questionnaire fails, because I am addicted to gaming as to every other hedonistic activity I enjoy I just don't see it as an unhealthy addiction.
Gaming is nowhere near addicting as physically addictive drugs, but as any pleasurable activity, your mind wants more of it.

Seems like a one sided questionnaire that will have only 1 outcome. Studies are as stupid as their questions are.

3) Have you experienced relationship problems (with your partner, children or friends) because of your gaming? Yep.
4) Do you feel irritable, anxious or sad when you try to cut down or stop gaming? Very, very rarely.
5) Do you play games as a way of making your mood feel better? Nope, there's beer for that purpose.
6) Have you lost interests in other hobbies and leisure activities because of gaming? Thankfully, no!
7) When trying to cut down or stop your gaming, do you feel that you can’t? Rarely, but it's more like a case of time flying by without me noticing it.
8 ) Do you feel totally preoccupied with gaming (for example, even if you are not actually gaming you are thinking about it)? Very rarely (there's hardly any great games any more that deserve this kind of attention).
9) Have you lied to anyone because the amount of time you spend gaming? Yep, 20 years ago, when I was a kid.
10) Have you spent an increasing amount of time gaming every day over the last six months? On the contrary.

Ooh, goodie, a questionnaire!
01. Do you think gaming has become the most important thing in your daily life?
Absolutely. Always has been.
02. Have you jeopardised your job or education because of your gaming activity?
No. my education ended pretty early due to gaming unrelated "issues" and I never worked a day in 29 years/my life.
03. Have you experienced relationship problems (with your partner, children or friends) because of your gaming?
The only one of those I had/have is a friend whom I see once every 2 to 3 months and who isn't interested in/doesn't have time for gaming and it hasn't created any issues beyond that.
04. Do you feel irritable, anxious or sad when you try to cut down or stop gaming?
I don't try to cut down or stop.
05. Do you play games as a way of making your mood feel better?
No. But it does make my mood better.
06. Have you lost interests in other hobbies and leisure activities because of gaming?
No.
07. When trying to cut down or stop your gaming, do you feel that you can’t?
No, I feel that I don't have a reason to, so I don't.
08. Do you feel totally preoccupied with gaming (for example, even if you are not actually gaming you are thinking about it)?
No.
09. Have you lied to anyone because the amount of time you spend gaming?
No.
10. Have you spent an increasing amount of time gaming every day over the last six months?
No, I'm actually trying to play way more again after my discovery of Let's Plays about 5-6 years ago.

I can safely say I am losing more and more interest in gaming.
Less gaming time these days (perhaps partly cause it's summer?).
And yes I fucked up one of my educations cause I was seriously addicted to WoW, back in 2006/2007.

[*] 1) Do you think gaming has become the most important thing in your daily life?
Not most important thing, but most important hobby.
[*] 2) Have you jeopardised your job or education because of your gaming activity?
No, I work from home so it doesn't jeopardize it at all
[*] 3) Have you experienced relationship problems (with your partner, children or friends) because of your gaming?
Again no, wife doesnt care if Im on my PC 23 hours a day..worse hobbies I could have she thinks.
[*] 4) Do you feel irritable, anxious or sad when you try to cut down or stop gaming?
No, but never had a reason to cut down to know if I would
[*] 5) Do you play games as a way of making your mood feel better?
Trick question, isnt that what a hobby is for? enjoyment? seems a baited question, or at least easy to twist around
[*] 6) Have you lost interests in other hobbies and leisure activities because of gaming?
No but wouldn't loosing interest in them just mean you found gaming to be a more enjoyable hobby if you did?
[*] 7) When trying to cut down or stop your gaming, do you feel that you can’t?
Again No, but never had a reason to cut down to know if I would
[*] Do you feel totally preoccupied with gaming (for example, even if you are not actually gaming you are thinking about it)?
I've thought about it while working..but no different than someone day dreaming about going to see a movie that night, or a season premiere..
[*] 9) Have you lied to anyone because the amount of time you spend gaming?
No, I admit I can spend 10-16 hours a day doing it..
[*] 10) Have you spent an increasing amount of time gaming every day over the last six months?
No
I guess a lot of them would be a reply thats a negative indicator if I didn't work from home, or wife had a problem with it.
Feels as if some of the questions are baited or tainted to me. easy to twist from a 'yes' answer to a 'thats unhealthy' reply on it. They generalize the question by making it have a negative implication just by the intended effect of which answer you give.
Since most mine are truly "no" answers. Yet I probably game more, and spend more time doing than people that would have 7 'yes' answers.
So it seems less a "do you have an addiction" vs "does it bother those around you or distract you" test mostly.
