What a coincidence, I just started playing the game again last week.
I've only used the unofficial patch so far, though. It's been so long since i've played I kind of wanted to see it as it originally was, albeit at a higher resolution.
Despite how old it is, the facial animations are still pretty impressive. We have highly detailed bro beards now but the faces barely show emotion other than the "kickin ass" expression.
On a related note, I also started replaying Max Payne 1. That face of his makes me grin every time.

Haha yeah, the game is always sitting there, ready to be replayed whenever I want.
I actually have dozens of golden oldies installed, because when I feel nauseated by bad new games I can always count on my trusty old friends.   |

I actually did download it and patched/Sweetfx'd it yesterday.
Thanks for the bait, but then again the last time I played this was in 2005.
Still a great fucking game.
