imho Kindred The Embraced wasn't gory or anything. It was more about politics, vampire clans rivalry, interaction with human society etc . I liked it 
I wouldn't call even Nosferatu savage.  Probably some members of Sabbat clans but we didn't see them in the series.

It wasnt, I was writing about Kindred combined with 30 days. From that first episode looks like it will be those things combined, tho I could be wrong, we will see how it will turn out to be.

I really like it so far, i don't feel like some of the acting is very strong though, makes it feel like a B-movie.
Definitely going to keep watching this, one of the better series to come out this year.

imho the second episode is weaker than the first one..and when they showed us AA meeting I was like OMG not again.. it gets old really fast seeing this AA bullshit in almost every US movie/series.
Overall it was nice.

Well I'm enjoying the show, even though it can be derpy at times it's entertaining, and that's enough for me to Justify watching it.
Curious to see where it goes over the course of the next few months, can't wait to see what the creature/master looks like.

A veritable strain of cliches 
I like "the strain" part of the show, but this family bullshit (yoyomami, "Hai I'm that cunt friend of your wife, how are you?", "father and son bonding bullshit" and the ol' AA meeting) is just downright terrible.
But hey, the show barely has any competition as of now so... guess I'll keep watching.

Didn't like the second episode as much as the first. Like some have pointed out, it needs more vampires and less family drama bullshit. Also the characters do some really stupid shit. Like really.
But not much else to see with this premise so yeah I'll give it more episodes to find its foothold.

I actually liked second epi better because of less dumb writing going on (it's still there tho ). I do hope that spanish/latino woman dies off quickly, cringe worthy performance from her.
I agree on the whole drama story, it's filler and overdone on US shows. In most cases it's done subpar. Only thing missing from the typical show bullshit would be I.D. vs Science, a trend you also see in most shows lately.

It's a del toro show. it breathes del toro. Plenty of cronos feels.
i like it. wish the episodes weren't set up the way they are set up. it has a srs true blood vibe in that aspect. cliffhanger upon cliffhanger upon cliffhanger  some of the scenes are just awesome as shit esp the bathtub. I like what they did there. some are horrible like when they show the awesome power of the monster. Lolz.

it already picked up. it's showing a modern vampire hunter. it's showing the doctor who will find a cure. it's showing a man who is responsible for this because of his fear of death. realizing what he had done at the end of the episode was lol.
i hope it continues at the same pace.

Wouldn't call them plot holes but there is a little bit of shoddy writing and plot in there. Not anything major though.
