Em just asking. Why you guys own guns? I understand if you live in dangerous neighborhoods you got a pistol or smt. But rifles?

This lady, Crystal Metheney, (nice name btw Laughing ) for example was arrested for shooting off a missile. Why people need those kind of guns? For playing too much GTA ? Very Happy

Sadly it's not so easy to shoot around with real guns for fun in this country. You can only shoot in closed rooms and you must join a club for that. But that is too much hassle for me with all the old fuckmen

Got a new stock (which I installed myself, yay me! (not hard tho heh)) for my old/original Rem 700 PSS model. Just need a muzzle break installed and trigger work done which I have lined up already by a local gunsmith.

Just had this customized/modded. It started as a regular Remington 700 PSS in .308. Stock was changed, trigger work was done (down to 2 lb. pull now from 7, much better) and a muzzle break added. Some slight bolt action work was done as well to make the action much smoother while lifting or lowering.

Results of my first outing with the 700. You'll notice smaller holes in the upper left. Those were made with my other rifle in .223, the Savage which I posted in here as well. Not too bad considering I haven't really fired a rifle like this in about 3 years and the whole setup was new. Still figuring out my best positioning and such. I need some more practice hehe.

Target dimensions: 8.5"x8.5" @ 100 yards.

wow this looks really cool.
I am a handguns and revolvers fan myself. Why the fuck would anyone need bigger gun while still one shot is enough to take down and enemy.

because a revolver like that is massively heavy, horrible for followup shots and MOST importantly, lacks range....

That picture kind looks like this revolver or it's ammo, which I guess is overkill on anything but very large game hunting or competitive target shooting. Smile

I have shooted with only one gun, and it was in Army (we needed carry this shit like child in there with us). Let me represent you Finnish RK62.

It jammed many times, nearly lost my teeth because once i jumped to woods and the damned thing hit straight to my chin Very Happy Very Happy Also little shock to the gun and sights were completely fucked etc.. Good old times, but when it worked it was a beast (got golden firearms sign to my service jacket in shooting test, was very good shooter even tho i had not shooted before :>). Not to mention that this is somewhat of copy of AK47, but it cannot withstand nearly any damage (like AK nearly works always, let it be water, sand/snow etc.. Very Happy), ironic since finland is known for shitloads of water and snow Very Happy

The whole point of those huge revolvers is generally for hunting. Yes, here in the states you can hunt with a huge ass revolver if you want, and no, they do not lack range.

I drove home from a friend earlier today and past a clay-dove shooting range which wet my appetite A LOT. The problem is that membership and stuff like that is expensive as hell. :/

My friend got the approvals for the suppressors. Woohoo! He will be getting them in about a week or so now. End of the month at the latest.

On a side note, I'm looking at picking up another firearm. Not sure what I should get though. Any recommendations? Pistol or rifle. I'm in Cali now so some things are limited, but I can still do the SSE (single shot exception) for pistols which is what I'm leaning towards.

One thing though, not a fan of Glocks. I've tried several of them and I just don't shoot well with them and I don't like how they feel.

Went to the range for my Bday. Using the custom rifle I showed in a previous post in this thread, these are my groupings at 50 yards. Granted, that's not very far, but I had not done anything like this before and was pretty impressed myself. Large pics.

Same here for me with the laws. Have a co2 air rifle which I love, but sadly cant really use it much on account of my indoor enviroment(and not knowing anyone with a decent sized yard).

That revolver looks fucking hot, and like something I could practise with indoors. Any chanche you have a link to it? looks like it cost a good bundle
