I hope they have more variety than just a map on the corpse.
Maybe after we kill them, we have to simply research another route or person for the next clue.
Who are we kidding? This is Ubisoft. No matter what happens, they will hold your hand with an iron grip and throw on-screen markers at you left and right. Ubisoft will not, will ABSOLUTELY not, leave you to think for yourself.
Ubisoft's entire design philosophy revolves around one rule: the gamer is an idiot.

And they are not wrong: [...]
Are you an idiot, Neon? Am I? Are all the people on this forum idiots? Are your gamer friends idiots? Are my friends idiots?
Linking those YT examples to your statement is superficial at best, they are 0,00...1 percent relevant into the whole picture. Being public doesn't necessarily mean being more important or relevant. Most of the time actually it means the opposite! Look at ALL the media nowadays: if we were to take seriously our presented so-called "(role-)models" we would be fucked.

No, but this forum in particular is a condensation of hardcore gamers. WE are the minority.

No, it doesn't. Some partial success of games like Dark Souls doesn't prove anything. Millions of people still buy CoD every year. Each Mass Effect game was derped even further. Do you think if derpas were the minority that would happen?
Why do you think Brian Fargo had to do a Kickstarter for Wasteland 2?
Why do you think Assassin's Creed 1 turned from a quite realistic game to the 1-hit-kill counterfest?
First presentation of the first AC game- just look at 5:10.

This is a very realistic fight system, you can't take a hundred blows to the head, in fact, you can't even take one
Do you think that if the hardcore gamers were a major demographic they would change it?

Smells like bullshit to me, I distinctly remember scripted fight(s) in AC1 where you couldn't take a blow or you'd be dead. Near the end of the game. How'd she lose health there anyway? Scripteeeed... bulllshiiitttt...
Going off an Xbox conference
plz stop idealizing pre-release AC
"it's very much like American football!"
Supa realistic combat system pre release that included enemies coming at you 1 by 1... Just like when it was released!
It's all because the developers prefer to do so. While I agree that the majority of people doesn't like to improve themselves as human beings (this is another topic, though), this is NOT a reason to treat them as stupid beings, and, btw, on top of it, you'll also direct your attitude towards those that don't fit this category.
It's so damn easy to go with the flow instead of trying to educate, innovate or change something. But then again, we all know this is not the plan, isn't it?!

I'm inclined to agree. The combat, as presented in the video, seems almost exactly the same as in the final game (counter kills, enemies waiting in line to attack you, etc.), with the only difference being that you can take far less damage before you die.
creative director Alex Amancio said of Unity’s plot, “It’s a new start, it’s a new narrative start. That is symbolized by a completely new context for the present day
“You’ve seen a little bit of an evolution with Black Flag, [but] we’re not going to do the same thing. What we’re doing with Unity is really the beginning [of] this new cycle of Assassin’s Creed games
“Because it’s new, we can actually explain it properly because nobody is going to feel like it’s redundant. I would say that Assassin’s Creed Unity is the best entry point for the franchise since [the first Assassin's Creed].”

Assassin’s Creed will be developed with assistance from its new, official “chief parkour office”, Ubisoft has announced.
Ubisoft has increased the Assassin’s Creed team by one in appointing Michael “Frosti” Zernow to the unique role.
CVG reports Zernow’s job will be help make Assassin’s Creed’s free running more realistic.
This will have the parkour expert serving “in a strategic advisory role, ensuring an ongoing commitment to the authenticity and accuracy of parkour”.
Ubisoft’s announcement makes it sound like Zernow’s stint will even have an effect on Assassin’s Creed: Unity, which hits PC, PS4 and Xbox One in October.
Zernow is well-known in the parkour world for his group Tempest Freerunning, and has lent his services to games development before, in motion capture sessions.
Assassin s Creed 1 for hardcore gamers ?
What ? The combat was terrible in this game and was pretty easy not to die... I remember taking down multiple enemies so easily spamming the counter attack button....
It was actually easy to die early on when you couldn't counter and you got mobbed by half a dozen guards at once. But yeah, once you got the counter, it was weak as piss from then on.
Alex Amancio, who is the Creative Director for Assassin’s Creed Unity at Ubisoft was talking to GamingBolt when he shed some light on how they are planning to take the weapons customization as well as the economic system of the game to a whole new level:
This year, we’re really proud to introduce our deep and relevant customization system. This customization is about Arno and his journey. All the gear and the weapons that you can buy within the game have a real impact on your gameplay and the player will also feel the necessity to customize his own version of Arno in order to continue his progression and become a master assassin. Obviously, the money value of a gear will vary with its rarity and its effectiveness. Consequently, the economic system will be an integral part of the ACU experience.
Can't wait for the next episode, the story sounds pretty cool so far, everything I love about AC universe (thanks to Alex Amancio, who also worked on Revelations, aka the best story in AC game apart from AC1).

The creative director probably hints on the direction he wants the story to go, but the game's actual script (story and dialogue) was not his doing but Darby McDevitt's. I don't know who's writing Unity's story, but it's definitely not Darby, since he worked on Black Flag, and Unity has probably been in development for 3 years or more already considering how much different it looks from previous iterations.

Great news! Revelations, next to AC1 are still the only AC games I've liked.
I attributed Darby McDewitt to the AC:R storyline but after playing AC4...
Hope this game is a return to AC1,AC:R form in terms of storytelling.
