Awesome! What kind of kit is that?

I play the drums, but it is not my main instrument. Guitar is where it's at for me Smile

It's a Ludwig Centennial Zep Set which means big ass drums. 26x14 kick, 14x10 16x16 18x16 toms Very Happy
Plus a set of Sabian, Zildjian and Paiste cymbals.

I play guitar since high school, like 14 years. I love japanese guitars, had about 12 of them but started downsizing recently in favor of the drumset.
In high school i played drums but i never had my own kit. That was like the first thing on my wishlist since then. So i had to buy one Very Happy

I wish I could have a proper drum kit Sad no space in my house for a kit like that, and I'm pretty sure my neighbors would hate me.

Always though about getting one of those electric drum kits, but nothing beats the real thing.

Ha, my appartment is a little above 30 square meters Very Happy And i had at once : 12 guitars in cases, two marshall 4x12 cabs, a 1x12 combo, marshall head, little 1x8 combo, and a little marshall 1-watt head + pedalboard. The drums are at my GF's house. Fortunate for me. The space is a big problem with drums, and the noise of course.

I also thought of e-drums but i think they could cripple me technically. I won't hit the drum properly but would still get the proper drum sound in my headphones.

In 2010 i was in Norway, the Oslo Museum Of Technic (Technics? or whatever). And there was a sound-dampened room with e-drum sets. I played that sucker when my family went through the museum. It was like two hours. When i finished there was a line of little kids crying to let them play. Lol Very Happy

Never thought about that... though there are many band drummers who play on e-drums.

A friend of mine has a "real" drum set, and its so damn loud that playing without
ear protection gets unhealthy. Shocked

Yeah, but with proper ear protection (the cheapest and best protection are uvex ear protectors) drums sound much better if the room is not sound dampened with wood and foam panels or such. And of course after playing your years "feel" much better.

I never play without ear protection anymore. Also Shure SE215 make it an awesome experience to play along with music in your ears with added ear protection and sound dampening. Also you can use them with a metronome obviously.
