I attributed Darby McDewitt to the AC:R storyline but after playing AC4...
I actually think AC4 has better writing than all the rest, but whatever...
Besides, he said it himself in Q&A sessions that he came up with the whole script for Revelations, so you have to attribute the story to him whether you like AC4 or not.
The Phantom Blade is meant to be a crossbow of sorts, and eventually he will be able to upgrade it with different kinds of darts and blades.
“Our philosophy is not simply to add gadgets, but to develop a feature linked to one of the core brand pillars,” Pedneault explains. “With Assassin’s Creed Unity, the Phantom Blade is a new feature that affects two core brand pillars: stealth and combat.”
And the Phantom Blade really is perfect for both stealth and all-out combat. It can be used to silence an enemy without alerting others, or it can be paired with his “louder” weapons in group combat. Arno can take on one opponent with his rapier, and then whip around to hit an enemy further away with the blade; a handy tool for anyone looking to even out the odds.

"In case you’re not aware of, Ubisoft Kiev was responsible for the PC versions of Assassin’s Creed III, Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Conviction, Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag and Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Future Soldier. Now all of the aforementioned games had major performance issues, something that definitely worries us."
Ubi showing PC gamers some love.
"I think Call of Duty resonates because it's believable and relatable," Sledgehammer Games cofounder Michael Condrey says.
Believable and relatable...Yep, sounds like Call of Duty
Yeeeeah it was probably the fault of XXXXX. Anyway, enough of that, our next game is our most optimised game to date!
Yup.
Why didn't they hire the studio that did Far Cry 3 and Blacklist? Those ports were pretty damn excellent in terms of performance and whatnot (omitting the resolution problems on multi-monitor setups that some people had/still have?)
