is there a reason you are leaving Estonia? you can't make good money in your own country or what?

i'm also from Baltic country and have many of friends who emigrated. most of them don't seem to be very happy abroad.

i work in IT sector so maybe it's different than medical sector, but i make almost as much money as my friends in germany or UK and living costs here are like 5x less Very Happy

i just don't get the appeal of emigration, slightly better pay but high chance of depression and loneliness, feeling out of place, no family nearby. not worth it IMO.

Depends on your personality, I love my family but even when we lived in the same country I hardly visited them. And feeling out of place... I have that everywhere so

I do whine on a monthly basis on stuff that's worse over here than what I had in Belgium, but those are just moments like you would have in your own country when whining about things that are crap.

But I stick to what I said, emigration is not for everyone (who have a choice, not talking about refugees), but I think the majority get stuck in the: 'actually doing it' phase.

The pay is many times larger in other countries. Ofc the cost of living is higher too, but all in all I get more with the doctors pay in Scandinavia. Gaming and music takes a lot of money Smile

I might not get into the residency I want in Estonia.

You get to see more rare stuff in a bigger country.

I would like to see and compare medical industry in a foreign country to Estonia's.

Luckily im not that much of a social person. I do need to socialize once in a while tho. would be awesome if I could go with some friends or a girlfriend or something. Denmark isnt that appealing to me and Finland seems kinda boring atm (might reconsider). Id like to visit Estonia quite often if I went to live abroad, at least in the beginning.

If I dont like the life there I could always come back and work in Estonia with some good experience from abroad.

E: I would like to start learning the native language a few years before going so Id have that covered when I get there and I could just polish it a lot in the first months.
