Ohh, reviews are quite amazing for this game, so I guess I won't be dissapointed. Every reviewer says it has the old good Civ feeling.

Sad You know, when I get a release, I expect to have to go around stuff. When I buy a game, I expect it to work. Touche. The game is complaining about the lack of the CD, which is the legit Cd, and in the drive. Now I have to use the same old tactics anyways. Blah.

i have some glitches with 6800gt.

The game pauses just a bit on occasion. And the wonder movies are having a bit of problem with the sound, but that's prolly my intecrapped ac97 ... or some fscked audio codec i have.

It's so purrty. People that hated it being 3d ... eat my cumstained pants.

... back to it ...

Oh my God! How young are you people? 11? I remember spending days and nights playing Civilization on my Amiga, and even more days and nights playing Civilization II on my 166 MHz Pentium. How can you not have heard of Civilization, the greatest game series ever created?

In the video on the homepage there was a small clip of a battle that looked very much like Rome, Rome is by far my favourite strategy game. Is it true that CIV4 leans a bit to that direction? Battles were always the one thing I thought was really boring in CIV.

Ah, so no RTW-thing then.

I get so bored with managing things if there's only so little to speed things up.

MoO2 [Master of Orion 2] was a master at combining management & action.

and of course RTW.

Yeah, so mean inelegible posts... Wait, ELIGIBLE for what? Oh, Illegible. Yeah, that's the same thing. JEEZ. At least get the words right before you try to make fun of people.

As for Civ 4... I'm just doing the Tutorial to see if anything's changed much and man, the tut is BORING. The real game had better be more fun.

Seems to work ok on my ye olde ati 9800 pro, though I’ve only been playing for an hour or so.
First impressions seem very good. I like the clean new interface.
Getting Dr. Spock to do the opening intro was a masterstroke, really sets the game up well.
Anyhow only time will tell if my settler farm tactics work as well as in the last civ game.
Time to break out the hobnobs and get down to some serious gaming before my retail copy arrives on nov 4.Smile

My second most anticipated game of the year Smile First being Oblivion.

Been a fan of Civilization ever since the beginning, I hope this new outing captures the magic of the previous games - cheers for the release.
