Hmm I got tickets for Eurogamer 2014 in London. I usually go every year but I managed to get a ticket for 2 days since 1 day is not enough for everything really especially when you have to queue like you say.

in germany anyone can get themselves registered as a journalist, for an annual fee.
then you can go and get a white pass, ie. a press pass and visit the gamescom on the 2 days before it opens to the public.
so you ll basically be running around with a couple of other journos, get some free food and be able to test/play everything without huge queues.
also you could talk to devs directly if you have questions.
it should be worth it, with some extra money.
in fact, the next time i visit, i ll be doing it this way, fuck waiting in line for hours.

Sadly MS' money throwing might save the Xbox One and destroy gaming a bit further.
Look at Quantum Break. It looks fucking horrendous - that is 720p or lower and is not a step up from the previous generation in any way. What exactly did all those people pay 500 EUR for? That piece of shit still isn't worth even 400 (sorry BLaM!).
Meanwhile MS throw money at developers to get exclusives, which deprives PC and PS4 gamers of games; including the next game in a series that became as fucking big as it is on those 2 platforms.

I get that, but what I don't get is how there are so many people who whine about the costs about a PC, yet did buy an Xbox <=720. That's just such bullshit, because a PC to run shit at 720p or lower doesn't even have to cost as much as that.
I don't want to know how much MS offered CD for TR. Must be a pretty insane sum.

I have yet to buy a XBONE.
And the exclusivity is probably just temporary.
That being said if it's not, I guess I'll have to wait for the inevitable XBONE bundle with TR2 ? There is no way I'm gonna skip this game.

Are you seriously considering splashing out that kind of money on such a shit console for just one game? Or maybe 2 if you're into Forza as well? Halo sure as shit isn't worth it. That's a 13-in-a-dozen game. QB doesn't look like a great game either, so uninspired. Those time mechanics will get boring after an hour as they so often do in these games.
