I'd like to drool too because of all those great memories, but I have a bad feeling about it. Sad

Activision owns Sierra, and if it's really King's Quest, then it's gonna be a reboot™ remastered for the new generation of gamers:

Boo! The US flag is in a wrong direction on that weapon. Hopefully the patch will fix it.

Well it is indeed the "re-imagined" King's Quest after all:
Quote:
“We’re very proud of what we created all those years ago with Sierra Online, and today’s news about carrying Sierra forward as an indie-specific brand is very encouraging. … We look forward to seeing Sierra’s independent spirit live on, and are especially excited to see what The Odd Gentlemen will do with King’s Quest.”

It's developed by these guys: http://www.theoddgentlemen.com/Our_Games.html (The Misadventures of P.B. Winterbottom, which wasn't bad at all actually)

FPS incoming? Cool Face

but then..

I guess it will be something akin to Telltale's games. Or in the worst case scenario, a long cinematic with QTEs.

From their website http://www.sierra.com/

So it sounds more like a retelling of KQ1 and 2 (maybe 5 as well) rather than a reboot.

1 and 2 are still amazing.
