isn't Tomb Raider didn't sold that well? so no surprising here they done deal with M$,HOWEVER,I doubt it's "exclusive" forever,same statemnets were for Mass Effects and other games..., at least next part in the series wiill be done on other platforms. if the game will sell well,in one year we will have "ultra Super Hyper Definitive Edition" on PC/PS4 Razz

Timed exclusives are a lame business practice, for the consumer. Especially a rebooted series like this that started multiplatform and had accumulated a lot of loyal fans across those multiple platforms.

Oh well. I'll have to wait longer before I can pirate the PC version, then.

Yes, because signing an exclusivity deal with the weakest (both sales and raw power) of the "AAA" platforms (sorry Nintendo, but the Wii U is a separate class Razz) is definitely the best choice to fix disappointing sales Laughing

Where from? I haven't seen anything like that and Crystal Dynamics' official statement today said nothing like it either, in fact; they reiterated that it was exclusive but "other" Tomb Raider games are coming to PC/PS4, like Osiris Sad

well,if they paid them up enough money,they actually could get more money of what the game could sell at all platforms... it doesn't actually matter if XBone Sold weakest or not,it's about M$ promoting their consoles of course Wink I don't have any Data Sales, so it's just my 50 cent here,raw guess Smile

IF Microsoft really paid them so much that true XO exclusivity actually provides them enough profit then MS and SE must be really desperate.

All jokes aside, last-minute surprise buttsex-based exclusivity like this is is really a cuntish move from everyone involved. I didn't even like the first game that much, but that doesn't matter, because these situations are bad for gaming in general, nobody wins really.

Hopefully the fact that is M$-related could mean that we'll also be able to play the game in some distant future, I'm quite confident about that. (They're clearly desperate about all those huge $$$ losses of late, so it was inevitable that they had to do something, and exclusives are the natural consequence of it)

And if the exclusivity is permanent because fuck you gamers, well all I can say is

I can't wait to see what the sales of Tomb Raider and the temple of Osiris is like now that Rise of the Tomb Raider is exclusive to Xbone.

I doubt many PC/PS gamers will buy that Tomb raider puzzle game cast off after this stab in the back Smile

Btw this is what Phil Spencer said on CVG about the exclusivity.

"We're saying what we said on stage," said Spencer. "In Holiday 2015, Rise of the Tomb Raider will be exclusive to Xbox. That's the comment."

It's worded quite slyly as usual by MS but that suggests 2016 is open season for the real gaming platforms to get the best version of Rise of the Tomb Raider.
