some commands from old UT work
press ` and write SAY to chat with other players Smile

Sure looks and feels like it.

Gave it a whirl and it's no different to UT3 apart from a few tweaks and an engine upgrade.

Early days obviously but meh.

Pre-alpha so no textures , no nothing almost...

It will be the best FPS twitch shooter since.. i can't even remember the last time i played one, think it was quake 3? Or ut... All in glorious eye melting graphics.

I just played some and it definitely brings back alot of old memories.

I feel it needs to be a bit faster than it is right now but overall it's looking good.

Played a bit too, I enjoyed it. Needs more movement speed but feels OK. Enjoyed deck.

Looks like the build we downloaded has been added to 'OldBuilds' folder.

Don't forget to download the next build they release. Smile

Checked it in some online matches and empty maps, cant really enjoy this without any textures and lacking effects, also movement felt little bit too slow, gonna need to wait for more substantial updates, would be a blast to play a map with textures and all like that on the screenshot above.

Extract https://ut.rushbase.net/raxxy/Builds/UT-WINDOWS-06645b9.rar

Then run UnrealTournament.exe in Binaries

The first retina display iMac is rumored to be out in late 2014 though.

There will not be a "retina" display at such sizes in the foreseeable future. Even 3840x2160 isn't "retina" at 27". Unless you sit at like 55cm away, which most likely isn't the case.

Even if so, and even if it will be IPS - it will be SLOW as fuck with horrible delays and old good ips glow.

There isn't even a good gaming monitor on market that is not on shitty TN and you already want retina. Get ready to be disappointed either way, especial with such ( rightfully expected) insane price.

What do you have in mind? As for that UT build(s) its hard to say anything about performance while 95% textures and effects are non existent or just placeholders. Constant 100-120 fps here on 290.

Also all builds dissapeared from the website, just as the info spreaded on most of gaming sites Laughing

It's not bad as of right now, I'm getting a steady 120 for the most part until a server is completely full. But realize it is missing textures/lighting. So who knows about the final release.

There was a build update, and raxxy has been working his ass off. The new build will be up. Because you have to run the server within the editor when there is a build update the old one becomes useless.
