Judging from the video, looks like the pace has gotten very FIFA-like, with speeded-up passing and lots of first touches. I'm not a big fan of this change to be honest, but if it means that the annoying latency issue is completely gone, then it's fine. The rest is identical to PES 2014 from what I can see.

It's HUMvsHUM and they're playing on default speed with full support in passing and shooting. That's why you see this ping-pong Fifa-esque gameplay. I don't see any difference too between this and PES 2014. GK's are still, how to say it...passive? I prefer KONAMI going all the way back and make them superhuman again. I really don't understand why they can't fix the GK's.
Still Fox engine is better than Ignite. They need to fix the transitions between animations though. This is easy to be done also but either they're too lazy or they're just mediocre programmers. The game still feels more organic than Fifa which you need to heavily mod to be playable.
in PES 14, you had to think two seconds before you were going to do something because the animation would play out, and that's not PES.

The most basic thing for me is, in PES, when I played it, 1) super responsive and 2) left stick dribbling and R2 stop; this feeling that I didn't need a trick stick or needed to do tricks to beat a player

The final thing is not scoring the same goal twice. That was so important to me in PES
if his words are true, then i might give this year's PES my time.
The fact that the lack of responsiveness that was affecting PES2014 is supposedly gone is already a positive thing (no more predetermined on-rail movements would be great also), if they manage to fix the horrible GKs' AI as well, and improve shooting/headers, I'm good. Don't expect much from the visuals, but that's not a problem.
I really liked 2014 for the first few months, but now I just despise it.
The biggest problem really is the responsiveness. Then there's crosses. Maybe its just me, but of all the hundreds of hours I put into this game, I've yet to score from a cross with a header. With low cross I could at least trap, turn then shoot (no first time shot in 2014). With a high cross, even if I win the header, it will always go high. If I do press triangle to force it to head low, it is free for the goalie.
Another problem I have that also really ruined it for me was how weak both curved shots and long shots are. The goalies aren't very good when it is a shot from inside the box, but outside? They could stop any long shots that aren't heading for the corners. Except to actually get them to the corners is really hard and random. I tested it with 99 stats player. Doesn't matter if its auto / semi-auto / manual. It will either miss, or be saved due to lack of pace (with 99 power, really?).
Not that long shots goal never happened to me, I have scored a few, but it is so rare and random that it never feels like a valid choice to make. Easier to just dribble into the box and score.
And the worst problem I have besides responsiveness. The fucking ref. What the fuck this ref. I swear there's some bug with how they detect collision. I could cleanly tackle the ball away, but as long as the opponent trip himself, its a foul for me. Also impeding doesn't seem to be in this game at all. I could burst past a player, but if they stuck their foot in but not able to completely trip me, its no foul.
The game also doesn't have detection for out of bound when goalie catches the ball. I've seen the goalie held the ball and step behind baseline with the ball and no corner was given.
on september 17th we already played the fifa demo two weeks and preordered our keys
they probably don't care anymore because they know they got no chance against fifa anyway.
mod freaks, people stucked at pes6 and people who don't play online will buy it anyway... maybe that is enough for konami.
Looks like all those rumors about Knonami losing the licenses for Champions League, Libertadores, Europa and Sudamericana were all false alarm

Not bad, looks kinda..Fifa-y
Don't you scare me like that.
EDIT: Ahhh, just watched the video. Nothing of the sort (pheeeeew). But maybe you were referring to the UI which I admit it's pretty good in FIFA games
Haha yeah, was just joking around. The gameplay itself is actually better than I imagined, considering the not-so-positive previews from some time ago. Especially like the randomness and the fact that the ball isn't glued to the players' feet, but it's early to draw conclusions (and most of the improvements need proper testing as usual )
i still see some really bad things from pes 2014 here. I bet you can still get only 1 attacking player to make a run. They should just copy the way fifa does it.
Unfortunately it still looks like shit animation-wise. The fluidity is simply not there... it doesn't seem like a player is making a nice smooth run and some dribbles... it looks like every move is scripted and then 3-4 scripted moves are badly tied together. The players-on-rails thingy is still there...just watch 1:44 in the video above ... i was really looking forward to this year's installment but...meh.
