Had the problems as well and I think it doesn't matter how fast your internet is it just uses as much as it can. if 100/100Mb isn't enough well...

Must be a leak since I can't imagine what kind of data at that volume they are pulling.

It’s been five days since we launched The Crew PC Closed Beta and your feedback has been invaluable.

We are aware of issues impacting some online services lately, and our team is looking into it as we speak.

Today we’ve got a big favor to ask. In order to test our infrastructures, we need as many of you as possible to be online at 9 PM, CEST (12PM PDT) for as long as you can!

We know that this volume of connections will affect the gameplay experience, but our goal is to offer you the smoothest launch possible. To do that, we need to push the limit!

One last thing. The Crew PC Closed Beta is open until Saturday 2PM CEST (5AM PDT), don’t miss one second!

From all The Crew Team, Thank you and see you on the highway!

Stress testing before release is certainly commendable.

But it's downright stupid to do it with a closed beta... If they want to simulate a release date on an acceptable scale they'd say: Hey guys everyone can enter the beta now.

But yeah logic seems far away from most developers these days...

Their systems would collapse probably if they opened up for everybody. My guess is they have projected number of sales and they invited similar number for beta test (perhaps slightly larger).

Well that would be a good result crashing the servers, at least they'd have usable data. Smile

With MMO's they do it with open beta's and still 6/10 can't handle launch day, so I'm pretty sure these don't know what they are dealing with nor have they got the foresight to have similar numbers.

All Steam non-sale/non-indie/non-RU prices are fucked up. It's insulting how expensive they are, fucking €50/60 prices Sad

After AC Unity and Farcry 4 ridiculous prices I would have thought they had learned a lesson. Obviously not.

The beta was ok but no where near worth £50.

But yeah, this is one game that I certainly won't be purchasing.

Well seems money well spent since it sounds greater than it actually is Willing to bet that's going to help sales more than the beta.
