Wow, this looks generic as shit. Somewhat innovative clone of Final Fantasy XIV at the very least.

What a terrifically argumented opinion.

Man, people get so damn easily butthurt when it comes to games and opinions that it's tragic. Did it look like i tried to state an "terrifically argumented opinion"? i simply posted a first impression opinion.

Well I came to another point of: 'mjeh don't feel like playing it' again.

I'm level 35 and while you can still quest, it's always interrupted by getting attacked every 10 minutes. Them trying to gank you when you are at 50% health, but usually people are around since it's a quest area so the gankers get bum rushed by everyone else jumping in on them.

Only died once so far, the gankers usually only succeed in killing one person (so one wonders why they even bother). It feels quite repetitive, and yes most are max level going to the first contested area to kill themselves some lvl 29's (a lot of people rush so they end up a bit low level, I was lvl 34 and a bit to enter that zone for instance)
.
Feels especially tedious when you don't like open world pvp that much (80% of the fights are bullshit while 20% are nice), so in the past years when I did pvp I did it in the more controlled area's of battlegrounds.

In the end that makes 8 contested zones and nothing else left after lvl 30 than that experience.

So I think I need to conclude that this game just isn't for me, while I had quite a lot of fun... there is too much that annoys me. Will still try the next beta if it has the changes and I'll see if it's good enough for me to end up with just being annoyed at times for getting ganked

Well, I've read tons of posts that say this game is ideally played with a group later on and that it really isn't as viable soloing. If you were in a group, you wouldn't be getting ganked as much as you are while soloing.

Well that's the thing, we are always with 10/15 people around due to how they designed the questing hubs (and that is close proximity not more than 30 seconds travel time in between).

This isn't caused by being solo or not.
Come on, we can't be that naive... it happens in every MMO with open world pvp grouped or not.

Nope sorry gave a bunch away last time, and didn't figure it was worth it to get more keys since everyone that had a key before would get invited again.

Looks like they're being smart and trying to get us free 'testers' from the last open beta to pay the $50 to be able to play. Nope not gonna happen from me.

edit: what i mean is that the keys for this beta are not very forthcoming as they were last time...

I didnt have much trouble procuring a key even though I was away for gamescom for 2 days, this is the general concencus it seems. None of my friends have been able to get one, and it does seem like there were alot less giveaways then for the last 2 betas.

Regardless this beta has had the worst server queue I have yet experienced(on NA not sure how it is on EU this beta) so I guess whatever they did it worked xD

Still dissapointed they werent at gamescom but will be at pax east =( You go to korea? why not come to europe dammit

Indeed, beta 2 was a lot easier to get keys for. Handed out 6 here, this time I didn't bother... assumed everyone would get invited again, but nope.

Ah well, their loss... I'll still try the beta's when I get in, but practices like these (and some other things) will keep my money away from this/Trion.

Might still be on track for that september release, The grapevine told me cb 4 is the last before OB, so release might be getting close

Won't do well if they don't change some of the systems before launch. It's what most MMO's do wrong, sorting it out after launch.

This game is not that grate for F2P, it feels more like Illegal immigrant simulator for F2P players.

Beast items in a game can only by crafted, and for crafting you need (LP) labor points. Best way to get labor pints is to buy subscription. Sandbox is locked behind labor points regeneration. (aka Pay to have fun dirty peasant)

F2P can't post auction in auction house but you can but from Action House so rich get richer and poor get poorer. Only paying players can post auctions.

P2P player for 3h of gets 360 LP + 1260 LP from offline / per charter. = Total 1620
F2P player for 3h of gets 180 LP + no offline regeneration.

Let's hope they change LP system.

Played the game the last two days pretty much non stop as a F2p account. I'm an MMO player from the SWG days pre NGE. I havent played many MMO's since, tried a lot but just couldnt get that same feel. Now this game does give me that feeling, couldnt walk away from it, but I do understand its not going to be a game truly F2p. I'm a crafter type profession on these games and a sub will definately be required. You can get around it if you are super patient and lucky. Things like planting farms on public land is risky because of player theft. I think I will be going to subscribe for a few months at least. Its enjoyable so far.

Aside from them still experimenting with the cash shop(if they listen to this betas feedback should be alright though) this is the answer to most if not all arguments against this game.

People see f2p and expect to be able to download ,play, and enjoy a game for 0 cost. This game should have just gone full sub model and bypass all the entitled cheapskates
