I just found this mod compilation:
https://forums.undeadlabs.com/threads/mod-the-shen-experience-10-must-have-mods-combined.43618/

Plan on playing Breakdown a bit with that. Seems to contain most of the useful mods

That's not what I asked. I'm currently using QMJS Extended Functions which *conflicts* with Brimstone, thus conflicts with the Shen pack. They both have various functions and radically alter the game, which is why I said;

Razz

I'll check out Shen's pack though, seems it has a bunch of really nice stuff.

Oh. Yea, well i looked at both mods too before i found that Shen pack, and to me Brimstone appealed more.
But i can't help you decide which you like more Very Happy

Do any of those mods remove mouse acceleration completely?
I've been trying it on and off after I've seen patches come in but the mouse still feels wonkey. Sad

Edit:
Nvm, just jumped in and it's all good. ^_^

Not exactly shocking as it doesn't have any really complex menus nor combat mechanics.

Lifeline was a waste of time in my opinion, and I really liked State of Decay. Too linear and 'gamey'.

Not that it's too hard to acquire. The complrte Lifeline "bundle" is like 3 gigs of download, all-in-one. Fuckin' get it, it's a no-brainer. That's what I have, too.

I finished Lifeline a few days ago. Yea it was pretty linear, and also much harder than the story game was (because of the constant sieges).
But i still liked it very much to get a bit of background story. Even though i didn't get that much info, because most of the high assets got killed during sieges Laughing

Did you get Shen's addon working for you? It supposedly has Brimstone incorporated but it's not working.

https://forums.undeadlabs.com/threads/mod-brimstone-realism-balance-mod-story-breakdown.39805/

None of the listed changes are in effect.

Meh.

Does Lifeline also take place on the very same map as the base game and Breakdown? Because it's a fucking disgrace that the devs couldn't be arsed to establish a new game world.

I started Breakdown for the first time with that mod, and everything seems to work. (higher stacks, more room in vehicles, exp for killing a big un)

@r3dshift

The Lifeline map is very limited. It gives an impression of a big city setting, but because you're blocked off from the main city you're left exploring smaller 'nodes' and you need to use a narrow highway to get anywhere between those nodes of buildings. It is far smaller than the original map used in the original game's campaign and in Breakdown.

To prevent you from exploring they have added a Danger zone which essentially makes zombies spawn to overwhelm you and chase you back.

@Bob Barnsen

Maybe it *only* works for Breakdown? They claim to have removed the Breakdown lock so that it works for "Story" but it obviously doesn't work for me Sad I'll remove Shen's package and just use mods individually.

Yea there could be problems with some mods in story mode from what i read in the threads of some of them.
I guess it only works with Breakdown then without problems

Are your weapons named correctly? Did your characters start with new skills and weapons? Check if something as simple as SNACKS being named TWINKIES Neutral

Honestly, none of these changes are in effect.

Quote:

Health Consumables had their weights reduced from 0.3 to 0.05
Snacks have been renamed to Twinkies.
Stack Sizes for Consumables has been changed
All ammo weight and stack sizes have been reworked to be more realistic
A large majority of melee weapons had their weights changed to match their real world weights.
A few melee weapons had their durability changed to reflect their real world versions.
All firearms have had their names changed to their real world versions.
All firearms now have their correct real world weights.

Misc. Hero Changes (Story mode only)

Marcus Campbell
Starts with a Hatchet due to being out on a camping trip. – Works intermittently at best, still fixing this one
Starts with a Colt Banker's Special (Snub 22 Revolver).
Starts with 2 Painkillers instead of 1.

Ed Jones
Starts with a Wood Baseball Bat
Starts with "Walking Hotel" Trait

Maya Torres
Starts with an AR-15 Tactical (AR-15 Custom).
Starts with "Walking Hotel" Trait

It's not hard to follow the installation instructions, so I don't understand why none of this is working.

Have you tried to reinstall your game?

When i started playing about a week ago again my game always crashed when starting new game or going into options. Well i reinstalled the game and noticed that many folder in /game were missing. So i suppose something got fucked up badly back when i downloaded the game again about 2 months ago i think.

Worth a try for you i guess, as download isn't that big either

I wiped all the mods and simply reinstalled individual ones, rather than Shen's pack, starting with Brimstone and now it works 99% -- only missing the "Walking Hotel" trait, which SaK is aware of and is planning on fixing .. as of 11th of August 2014, at least. Also someone else mentioned that Shen's total pack didn't work for them as it really is just a Breakdown compilation, there's an attached "fix" but egh.. didn't want to mess around.

Shame I don't have the crossbows mod though Sad
