Is this online only like Sim City was? Or does it use standard DRM?

Its not always online like simcity, its DRM but a new kind it seems, they will proly need a few days to crack it, if its possible ofc.

My wife approves. Just that the game loads in a few secs compared to 8 mins in Sims 3 is great.

Are there PCs with bigger monitors than that? Preferably one that doesn't keep the actual machine behind the monitor would be nice because that's just ridiculous.

The AIO PC is little bigger and doesn't have machine behind the monitor.

I just noticed in the options there is a option to allow mods and under that there is also an option to allow scripts. Are they going to allow modding from the start this time? Didn't they try and stop it in the sims 3 to then kind of patch a half arsed attempt in later?

So when will the Lady in the Radiator come out? The videos cut off too early.

Haha, that is one feature that I like, accidental or not . And lol at the changelog, some of those bugs are simply insane..but then again, it's an EA game, you can't actually expect proper playtesting, ever.
I'm eager to try it despite the crippled nature of the vanilla game, though (and I blame Awesome for that ). May our famous buddies find a way to release the cracken soon(ish).

Gave it a try since I figure that :1) It's only 35bucks 2)Origin offers a refund during the first 24 hours if I hate it.
There's some good stuff, there's some bad stuff.
The base game feels better. Much smoother. Great performance. Great animations. Better looking sims, more unique. Like the changes toward their personalities and how it affects their wants, like their moods.
More sims are generally on screen at any time, you can see the neighborhood, I can easily see sims hanging out around, hanging out in a park/garden.
My Sim isn't as needy as before, feel like I get a little bit more time to do other stuff, tho it's not crazy either.
Simoleons seem a little harder to come by, you don't get crazy rich as quickly and the bills make more of a difference. I find this to be a good thing.
Interactions between sims are good.
Overall, the foundations of the game are quite nice.
The bad part: it feels lacking in content. It's that simple. What is there seems to be done quite well, but it feels so limited right now. If we were to compared Sims 2 with no expansions VS Sims 3 with no expansions VS Sims 4 with no expansions, I'd probably take Sims 4.
But right now? With all the content has been added over 10 years to the past 2 games? 2 and 3 are a better choice.
There's still value to be found in Sims 4 tho. Just... not that much right away.
