Think I'm done for now. Took less than 10 hours to reach max job level, max important skills, 9 kids (spread across 3 houses), high end stuff and one big house.
The game looks great, runs great and it's lot smoother compared to previous version.
The new emotion feature is nice.
The AI is good as well. The sims are smarter and the interaction feels alive.
The new build mode is really good. Took less than 10 minutes to make a big house.
Getting rich is little hard when you keep getting huge bill every 1-2 weeks. However, once you reach top level of your job, you don't have to worry.
The online community addition in-game is cool. No need to lurk around web for lots/rooms/households. Just one click and it's in your game.
The jobs are fun. I went for tech career and opted for eSport gamer. Had to play and stream lot of games, gets fans and make some decisions. Making right one gives you rep and Simoleons. The wrong decision results in performance loss and sometimes you lose fans/get bad rep. Wish it had some real-time activity instead of just pressing a button.
Pretty much that's it. The game is very simple. The outdoor is bland, the neighborhood is okay (you can find lot of sims jogging/harvesting).
Overall, it's still sims and it's fun to mess around. If you focus too much on missing stuff, I'm afraid, you'll lose interest in no time.
Compared to sims 3 base game, Sims 4 is better. Compared to Sims 3 + all dlcs, this feels like an expansion pack.
No regrets here, other than wasting $10 on deluxe content. It was nothing but a small laser light with no interaction, a bar and few useless hats.
The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.

The most important thing is that the new in-house DRM protection of this shitty company went down fast. Bring on Fifa now..

This sums up pretty much all of my feelings about this game. It gets boring really fast because you have just nothing more to do after 6-8 hours
EDIT: Good that I only spent 25€ on mexican origin store

Btw is it required to be logged in Origin or it just needs Origin running? I am asking because other games requiring the same stuff were running fine with just Origin staying on the log in screen, without being logged in any acc. I am still downloading the game so I can't test it myself.

So are there nothing to do in community lots then? Sounds like its just stay home and grind skills, go to work, get promoted and get rich?

There's no dishwasher item so your Sims have to wash by hand like in the Middle Ages. What I read so far is that the game is 'okay' but -very- shallow in terms of content and activities. They weren't kidding about the "base game" feel. Empty taco feel.

There aren't any dishwashers? Seriously? Didn't know it was an early access game.

Right, so played this for a fair few hours, this is a brief review.
Pros:
* Very smooth. Game engine seems much faster than S3, object and wall hiding seems better.
* Very fast loading and saving times.
* Good CAS
* Social interaction is vastly improved. Multitasking is handled very well, it's really quite nice to see a group of Sims sitting at a bar chatting and laughing.
* Umm...
Cons:
* No content. Seriously, this is utterly dismal. Clothing selections are VERY limited. Buy mode content is equally limited.
* Graphical style is incredibly sterile. The rooms feel like operating theaters, all shiny and crisp, the edging of items is just a bit too perfect.
* Hate the music, although amusingly you can hear the Sims 3 music in the background in Lounges on occasion.
* Moodlets and emotions are just Meh. They add very little to the game, causing negative emotion states far more often than I feel is necessary. Animations to depict various emotions are also very limited and often repeated.
* There is NOTHING TO DO! You get to visit a Lounge, Nightclub (which literally is another lounge), a Gym and a Library. Oh, and a park. And the activities that can be done are totally dull and repetitive.
* Building relationships - this may be just a personal thing, but I find this to be somewhat more difficult and convoluted, I found making Friends very hit and miss, personally. Although I could flirt with pretty much anyone with moderate success...
* Visiting lots. You can visit a lot, and choose people to visit with REGARDLESS OF YOUR RELATIONSHIP STATE! I can't stress how jarring this is, I mean of course you don't HAVE to, as most will inevitably turn up anyway....
*.... which is another annoyance - no matter where you go, the Usual Suspects will follow you around like lost puppies... Unlike S3, you always see the same Sims, regardless of time or location.
* The limited number of lots in a town is directly responsible for the above. Now it's clear why this has been done - less lots, less sims, quicker data transfer times. I just think they've made it TOO streamlined.
* The Town view is shite - ironically if you select specific options, you can actually see the whole town rendered in 3D - you just can't interact...
* Peeing. Really don't need such detail, thanks.
* Push ups. Is this like, a Cult thing? Are my Sims all part of a secret sect, where push ups are a form of secret handshake?
Conclusion:
This game... no sorry, Framework is DESIGNED to be expanded by DLC. It is clearly obvious that EA have specifically created the game to REQUIRE content to be purchased. Now, I'm pretty sure that the sterility of the atmosphere is down to the pathetic amount of content there is in the base game, and I am fairly sure in a couple of years time, this game is actually going to be pretty epic with all the extra stuff added. But right now? Think of it as The Sims 4 Demo. And I guarantee pools will be in there shortly, as the Fountain tool is almost exactly a pool tool, only shallow.
A bit like the whole game.

Yeah ... I'm not going to buy a quarter of a game. They should add least add enough furniture and clothing options - making extra content out of the house expansions I get, nerfing the content you'd expect in the base game is NOT OK.

In a slightly perverse way, I understand that these kind of games do need DLC to keep them fresh, and I expect most people would not mind paying maybe £9.99 a year or something to get a good stack of content.
Its when the base game is released DELIBERATELY without content that is considered to be part of the absolute basics required for the game, with the intention of milking consumers for as much cash as possible just to get the game up to the same playability as The Sims 3 - which itself wasn't exactly full to the brim of content.
It's just... utterly irritating, knowing that S4 IS going to be pretty damn fum to play WHEN enough content is in the game.
God Save the Modders!
