Still hoping for a better port than the previous game. But we'll just have to wait and see.
In the end I still enjoyed GTA 4 very much.

Has the increase in CPU performance lately "fixed" GTA 4? It was mainly CPU bound if I remember correctly.

Not really Laughing But now I see it's been announced for quite some time already Wink well I probably didn't know about it until just now because I usually ignore threads about unconfirmed games for obvious reasons and I haven't been to any gaming news sites in ages Smile

In all honesty I think they didn't do a good job on the announcement. It was more like: Next Gen GTA V confirmed!!!!!!!!!! *Fireworks* oh yeah, and it's also coming on pc.

So it was easily missed if you didn't see us screaming in here.

Yeah i mean, we're getting the "old-gen" version not the same version as "current-gen" consoles which will barely run at 30 fps and maybe 1080p with the same "hardware requirements".

/s

I really don't get people like the one you replied to who still think anything that's multiplat from now on will require less than what the new consoles have as hardware components to run @ 1080p and at least 30 fps.

so you and another guy saying that if now i build a pc equivalent to xbox 360 and ps3 i would be able to run gta5 at same frame rate with same visuals and most important loading times?
there is no chance in hell, game probably won't even start with error not enough ram Laughing and this is R* we are talking about, they care two shits about pc gaming performance
and by the looks at that "next-gen" trailer they just bumped gfx a bit with grass and some lighting, game basically looks the same, again games will never reach same level of optimization on pc as it does on consoles

An imagination what the SA protagonist would possibly could've looked like in V. Pretty impressive.
