Theres only one store I can think of where I might stand a chance as they are selling on the day but not taking any pre-orders so its on a first come first served basis. Also they will be opening in the morning on launch day not midnight. I dont have a huge wad of cash either! lol

Does anyone know if the old xbox hard disk drives work in xbox360? I can't get the one that comes with a hard drive ($100 for a 20gb HD is ridiculous btw) so I want to know if I can just take my HD out of my old xbox and put it in an x360.

well hey I dont spend every minute of my life studying every little tech specification and detail of the x360's hardware so i didn't know. I didnt know it was external, I thought it was the average desktop HDD. But of course thats why I asked....so chill out.

Nobody knows the answers to those questions yet.
My best guesses are: The new x360 HD will have totally new protection and the old drive won't work because of that.
The 'new' drive may be external (I don't know, as I've heard nothing on that) but that doesn't prevent it from working exactly as the old drive. USB Hard Drives are nearly identical to a Windows OS as IDE and SATA drives are. Since x360 is very windows-based, it'll be the same way. New motherboards will even boot off USB drives, whether it be flash or hard drive. Nothing can be ruled out.
Eventually, some enterprising individual will make a mod-chip, and you'll be able to replace the HD in the x360, you can pretty much bet on that.

Im trying to remember what this one game was called, its not out yet can someone help me out here? I remember there was a topic about it on nforce, it's going to be for next-gen consoles and pc, and there was a trailer of it, it looks like it takes place in an Ancient Rome type setting and you play with a warrior. There was a knight with a cape standing in a desert in the trailer. There was also a huge armored guy with a big sword and a bunch of armored soldiers....I cant remember what its called! Someone gotta know what im talking about...

yeahhh, it was called Elveon, i remember now. Thanks man. The reason i wanted to know was because I just played Shadow of the Colossus and I wondered if it was made by the same people developing Elveon because I heard that Famito Ueda was working on a new game for x360, but i guess its a different team. SOTC was the most artistic game I've ever played and one of the best looking, so I can't wait to see what Ueda will make for x360.

well ive had mine on pre order since end of june and just revieved notification i will NOT be getting it before xmas  shit!!
As for framerate, the 360 version runs smooth, while the PS3 is a jaggy mess that chugs along in slow motion.

I Pre ordered with Futureshop 2 weeks ago and they sent me a email saying it should be shiped in November. I hope that I don't see anymore emails  |

I would not have a problem selling my preorder system knowing that I can get 3x the amount back that I paid for it to start with.

I just hope I have the first shipment...I keep getting emails saying that my order is preordered for Nov 22...but it’s an automated email so who knows. I have a suspicion I'll be waiting past Nov 22.

Saw an xbox360 running call of duty in a local shop today. It looked pretty good, it ran it in DX9 better then most PC's i've seen anyway. But I play it on my computer at 1600x1200 (DX7) and the differences in resolution were definitely noticible.
No slowdown at all though.

search for "Xbox VGA Adapter" and you'll find a bunch of them...hey I might be interested in this...hell of a lot cheaper than buying a HD lcd
