It's more because 50% of iPhone users don't actually have an opinion of their own and simply follow someone else who is a fanatic. It's that 50% that want one straight away every time. It's the same shit as with PS vs Xbox, Nvidia vs AMD, AMD vs Intel. The sad part is those fanatics who went "HAHAHA 5 INCH PHONE SO MASSIVE, CAN'T FIT" when the Android manufacturers did it and who are now all "AMAZOMG".
We do a lot of work for Samsung, so with the Note announcements every time the guy I do those projects with was all "pfft way too big". Guess who's got his 6+ preordered now (he has literally never touched Windows or Android, that's how bad it is)? Hypocritical piece of shit
Who's bashing it though cyclone? The only bashing I see is the fact that Apple went for bigger models and they 100% deserve that after their bold statements about large phones time after time.

I did this with the 6 plus and I was surprised to see it can fit in my jeans.
Still I'm gonna wait to see them in my local Apple Store.

Fitting it into your pocket isn't the hard part. You need to hold one of these phones and see if you find it pleasant to operate.

My job couldn't decide on the 6 or 6+, so I printed out cardboard cutouts for comparison and by the time they made up there mind everything is now back-ordered

Order several of both models. Problem solved.

All fine and dandy, but still requires you to actually try and see if you like it
I'd find it annoying to have to use it to start typing into an address bar for example; on the 6 I'd be able to do that, but the 6+ is too tall for that for me

You can't use such a large device with one hand, beyond basic actions such as answering a call or scrolling. It's just not feasible. I guess someone who can accept that and not get bothered by having to hold with one hand and operate with another, the extra space for information is great. In the simulator, it looks crazy. So much space.

May I just remind you Leo that you spoke out against larger screens quite loudly yourself? I specifically recall you saying "Apple was going down the drain" not long after Steve died when the rumours about a 5" iPhone started floating around. As well as mocking things such as the Notes. Seems you have changed your stance since then
And you're wrong, it is feasible. On my N4 most of the time I do still operate it with one hand when I quickly check an incoming message/email or something like that, because fortunately I don't need to reach the top right corner except when toggling to settings (I generally use my left hand). Like I said, for me the N4 overall is just a hint too big, but I imagine that someone with slightly bigger hands can operate the whole thing comfortably.
I keep saying it, but everyone who's considering one of these should just try one out. Don't worry about fitting it in your pocket, unless you're some slim jeans wearing hipster bastard, it'll fit just fine. It's using the thing that you need to try.

Werelds not sure why you are wasting your time in this thread. It's like trying logic and reason in some religious fanatics thread, it will never work.

Sort of off-topic:
The note 2 that I own is big but I can still operate it when it's called for with one hand.
Typing right now on the forums is fan-fucking-tastic though as I can hold the thing like a gameboy (from the 90's not the new ones) and type with ease. While trying to do the same thing on my S2 is a pain in the ass.
So I can't wait to upragde to a note 4.

Are you sure you are reading the same thread ?
"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."

What are you talking about? I am talking about 6+. The fuck has your N4 to do with 5.5" being usable on one hand?
My stance remains:
