I don't know why either. Why should there be 1 and 10 on a scale if it shouldn't be used? Is it reserved for something or what?

No, but to become a 1/10 it has (imo) to be THE worst movie ever. And seriously many movies that have recieved a 1 or a 10 really could have been worse/better.

So on a 10 digit scale only two movies can inhabit 20% of the scale? that doesnt make sense at all

Chef 3/10

Firstly... please... stop slapping comedy on films that aren't comedies. The rule should be: if the first half hour it can't even produce a chuckle it might not be a comedy.

Secondly... call it: Twitter the movie. Who would think seeing people twittering, facebooking or messaging all the time would be interesting. It's not irl and it definitely is not interesting in a movie. Also when the film industry uses social media its always done so awkwardly like they don't know what they are doing. Buzzwords and clichés thrown around every minute.

After 40 mins we had enough of it and we just turned it off.
Don't have a clue why this got so much positivity, really wonder what kind of people those are.

Maleficent 6/10

Liked the first half better than the second half. The moment you saw kindness you knew about the twist. Felt more like wasted potential. Wasn't dark enough for me. Would have been better if they just went with the old story but focused on the why she becomes that way and stay with it.

It might have been better if they had a longer movie since it felt short and rushed for what they were trying to do. Way too many changes in character on a too short timeframe. In the end it gave a 'Meh' feeling. while the first half was so promising. So still gets a 6 in the end.

Space Station 76 5/10

Another waste of potential. Expected more from it and they could have easily done so.
It's not bad, just watch it while multitasking or if you don't have anything better to do.

Loved the style tho, just didn't like what was going on much.

Really enjoyed it, not as awesome as it was hyped to be, and the ending really didn't bother me like some. Fun movie Smile

The Grand Seduction 6/10

An enjoyable movie to pass the time.
Setting was stunning, acting was good, had a couple of laughs. I liked the simplicity of it all.

rewatched tranny 4...

and i think i might have to revise my earlier statement... i might have to rewatch the first film because ive got a feeling this film might actually be significantly worse than the first film, making it the weakest of the franchise by far.... because this is the only transformers film i can think of, where the HUMANS actually were the only things NOT wrong with it....

also, the other thing that bugged me...

that green robot... you know, the ONLY interesting one, with his, lol, trench-coat... i NEVER saw him transform, I really wanted to see how one mode transformed into the other... i cna only assume the FX guys realised it was too fucking hard, lol, so it always happens off-screen or obscured.. fuckers Very Happy

Edge of Tomorrow: 7/10 - Nice! I was waiting for this, and it's worth it! Nice directing, but a meh ending just to rep the story up. Didn't go with a movie this good, they could've worked on the last action sequences. Just to justify the ending,
 Spoiler:

X-Men: Days of Future Past: 7.5/10 - Best Marvel comics adaptation if you ask me.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier: 7/10 - Best Disney-Marvel movie Razz(Haven't watched GotG)

Godzilla: 3/10 - Boring as fuck.

Maleficent - The story didn't really went how I remembered it (she seemed a bit soft) but it worked well for the movie. Thank god the director didn't just stretch it another 20 minutes just for the time alone. Really enjoyed it, 7.5/10.

The new king of sci-fi mr. Cruise, makes sense as Scientology is all about space ships and aliens Laughing

You can tell the idea came from a video game, like there is a load/save button at the beginning but only one save, hardcore old-school! Yeah a lot of dying till you get better at it.

Transformers - 3/5

Not sure if this is better than part 3 but at least having mark on the lead cut a lot of the bs we had with shia, the humor was funny on the first movie, but than it got way out of hand.

The fights in part 3 seemed better and the overall choreography was also well done, in this, not so much, but the cgi was cool, the rest cant say much more, its pretty standard to bay, you know what you are getting into.

Space station 76 - 3/5

Now this is something different, i have watched many sci fi movies over the years and this is an homage to the old ones, trying to blend humor with drama and the ocasional anchorman / ben stiller comedy wich i really like..

This not for everyone, anyone wanting to see this movie needs to be prepared for a movie wich changes its pace and tone from bizarre to dramatic, to serious, to goofy etc, it is very all over the place but i have enjoyed it, it has a message, it has nice sci fi sets, different vibes, and overall it tries to actualy do something different, wich everyone complains about, but when a movie like this comes along it gets bashed .. it could certainly be better but its still worth a watch for anyone curious about where cinema might be going in the future and also ofc sci fi lovers like me..

Most of the jokes are crude as are most of the characters in this, they are all faulty beyond believe and are some of the worst stereotypes you will encounter..but thats the way the movie found its way to send a messsage.

But i can definatly see why some might just see this as a not funny, bad comedy movie.

Another movie i saw, wich was also a blend of styles, was Pain and Gain, also by Michael Bay, and i laughed so much with that movie, it was truly hilarious, but i know people who did also not like that movie, the tone was also all over the place, it had elements of comedy also, and drama, it was serious sometimes, and other times downright stupid and in your face.. i wish they made more movies like this, instead of the standard comedy we are used to by jim carry, or seth rogen (even though seth sometimes tries to go much further, but seems to have lost his touch lately..)

Very good. Keira can sing and most songs are good too. Ruffalo gives a fine perfomance, the ending is exceptional and Carney films again another superb music movie. Highly recommended for music lovers.

8.5/10
Watched it just because of this comment and must admit, even for someone who's not a fan of Keiras` acting, it was very good indeed.. 8/10 or so

I read the manga with the same title "All you need is kill". And I liked the ending better. Its a pretty quick read-through.

http://www.mangareader.net/all-you-need-is-kill

"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."
